One is black, one is blue! Pick your favorite color! Unless you care about the fiction. Which I do not.

Soundblaster is cooler if you do.

If you really can't decide you might as well get Soundblaster if you can find him since he's shortpacked. Then if you really like the mold you can pick up Soundwave down the line at some point, perhaps on clearance somewhere, or cheap on the board or something.

I'm in the same boat, almost exactly. The mold looks great, but it's essentially just a bigger version of a Soundwave that I already own, with a gimmick. Yet, I tend to normally only buy the characters that are on-screen. And they both look equally as cool...

You make it sound so easy. As far as the fiction goes, I didn't quite even understand who Soundblaster was until recently. I'm just really awful at making mundane decisions lol.

That might be an idea. Curse them for releasing both in the same wave!

Yeah, that was an odd decision. I can't see many casual fans noticing, much less buying both versions. You'd think they do Blaster and Soundwave, then Soundblaster and Grimlock. Fictionally, you could even reason that Soundwave got wrecked in his first wave matchup with Blaster and the upgraded version seeks revenge!

Whatever, none of this matters unless/until I find one in stores.

i just hate that his size just doesn't fit in with any of the other wfc/foc figures.

also, it doesn't seem like that big an improvement over the deluxe.

whereas the first edition prime deluxe, and the first edition voyager prime are very similar, but the voyager was vastly improved over the deluxe.

it's still a neat toy, just a little unnecessary

oh, at TRU in willow grove, i came across "big red" from neca's predator series.. i haven't opened it yet, but man he looks so bad ass. hopefully nothing breaks once i open it (i have a terrible reputation with neca products)

Ha. I just like the black scheme better and have always had a soft spot for Buzzsaw.

Will anyone checking TRU this morning/today kindly check the LEGO department, and post if CMF Series 9 is starting to pop up yet (silver bags)? I know trucks usually come in today, but I won't be able to check until much later tonight.

Did an Altoona run yesterday. Found Beast Hunters deluxe wave 1 at Toys R US, took one set of 4, the other 4 remained. TRU also had 3 FoC Soundwaves and one SB with some casette packs, MP Thundercrackers, and FE Bulkhead. Found FoC UM, Sideswipe, and Air Raid at Walmart ( no starscream or kickback). 1 Each UM and Sideswipe remained.

Hagerstown MD TRU today had a couple Prime BH Bumblebees and Wheeljacks each as well as a few each of FOC Ultra Magnus, Starscream, Kickback, Sideswipe and Fireflight.

Other things of note were 1 FE Bulkhead, 5 MP TCrackers, some FOC Soundwave's and Soundblasters, data disc packs and a bunch of PRiD voyagers and deluxes.

Found PRiD Kup at Marshall's for $7, my only purchase for the day.

Cranberry TRU has at least 1 each of the BH Deluxes, plus a couple Gen Soundwaves and a Soundblaster.

Nothing anywhere else in Cranberry, really. Walmart and Target are barren. I actually heard an employee saying she was going to move some of the clearance toys to the regular aisle just to make it look less desolate. Get some new toys, maybe?

Did anybody sell anything to Wade's Comic Madness in Levittown, lately?

I did a triple take when I was in there earlier this evening and saw Alternity Red Convoy, Black Megatron, Bumblebee and Thundercracker; along with Fansproject Thundershred and Backfiery on the shelves.

Well, I finally decided on FoC Soundwave last night, and I have to say, he's kind of cool, but just a little lackluster. Perhaps I'll feel better once I round out his minions.

Also, anyone else have trouble fitting the data discs inside his chest? I had to push Laserbeak pretty hard to get him in, and then he doesn't want to pop back out and do the self-transformation.

I did, and based on comments in a review thread it's a common issue. I ended up just filing down some plastic nubs inside the disc bay to get it to work.

    They were... um... bad.

All the Alternities were 79.99 a piece. So, I guess for Red Convoy and Black Megatron, that might not be totally awful. But I wouldn't pay that for Thundercracker and certainly not for Bumblebee.

The FP Insecticons were 99.99 a piece. Which is hilarious.
