Howdy Austin Transfans Hey everybody--I moved to Austin from Los Angeles in May and I've only now stumbled across this site. I'm primarily a Star Wars collector, but I like Transformers too, especially now that we're back to vehicle-based figs. Alternators make me drool! Anyway, I just wanted to say howdy and let y'all know I'll be lurking on the boards from here on out. I don't know much about Energon or Armada stuff and I'm not collecting it--I'm only after certain G1 reissue stuff and of course Alternators (if anyone sees a Sideswipe, I'm chomping at the bit for him!!) and Heroes of Cybertron--anyone seen Wave 4 yet? And I never did find a Rodimus Prime, but I have an extra Grimlock to trade for one. So, that's it--HOWDY!! Also, every man, woman and child on these boards has to get the 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime. I got my import one from BBTS last week and it is the single greatest toy I've ever seen in my life. Absolutely amazing. To give you some idea of how wonderous he is, I actually put my Unicron away in order to display him. I was laughing reading old posts here about when Unicron first started showing up around town--I likely ran into some of you at Capital Plaza Target when it first opened, as I was there during the preview openings and I grabbed one of the two Unicrons on the shelf that first day. Man, what a great couple of months for Transfans!! While I'm here, what are people's takes on the Mazda RX-8 Alternator? Is it supposed to be Cliffjumper or what?
welcome GKW. Today I saw energon Unicron at the Wal-Mart at 35 and 1325. they looked to have about 6 of them, but I didn't pick one up. but no alternators at all unfortunately.
There's a bunch of Energon, Alternator (Smokescreen) and other Transformer toys at the Target on 183 by NorthEast Mall in Bedford. The Wal-mart in Grapvine on 121 still is bare (I think they have 5 total Transformers in that entire place) And the Toys R Us offa 183 by NorthEast mall has a shitload of Re-issues but not much of anything else. Lots of Armada Unicrons no Alternators.
I saw two Rapidruns at the lakeline ToysRus if anyone is intrested. And the giant super articulated Spiderman at the lakeline Target and 620/183 Walmart.
Re: Howdy Austin Transfans Yeah We got our Prime from BBTS I guess well it was Jan 6th I remember beacuse BTC wanted to make sure I was going to be here? no waite that was Super link's arrival from HLJ?? anyway we got it and yes I totally agree with you, he is so perfect and beautiful Im affraid to touch him.... My local Walmart was unloading some Energon last night. I didn't stick around to see what size class or figures for that matter were being placed out. I have to go back there again today and I'll take a quick check for E Magnus.

I would really apprciate that.... and who says E magnus is out anyways? I haven't kept up with his release, but is he already full blown? what's his price point anyways? $20 or $25? I have yet to the Viper....
No I meant I saw pictures of them on www.figures.com sorry i misslead you to think I had phyisically seen them. What I did see was the new Spiderman 2 figures but that is it. Sorry but if I do see them I will holla....
I could have sworn someone mentioned they saw him up in bryan tx, but who knows, too much work no sleep. I think his price is between 20-30 bones. but who knows, yeah the Viper too is one I am on a look out for, decided not go get the import on that one but the next two, importing them is a must. I just purchased BTC Exclusive Japanese Magna Prime DX Giftset for his Bithday, which is 02/24 and I still have Valentines day, so we will see what he gets.
Yeah, that was me.. I bought E Magnus at Target for 27 and some change......Then I um.....yeah I think everyone on this thread Knows what I did at that point..... Well anyways I have him, and I will get at least two more, he's a good figure, and I need another to go with Rodimus... Oh and I picked up two Armada Overloads the other day as well... Don't worry Guys, when I get two more Magnus' I will not be taking back the Overloads in their boxes, all will stay here... besides I got Overload for 7 bucks this time...

Contessa, sorry but no luck on the E Magnus front. I checked the Walmart I mentioned in my last post as well as a few other stores I was around. I'll keep my eyes peeled though.
College Station Target had a box of Transformers Armada Trading Cards, 3 Alternator Smokescreens, and plenty of Energon Basics and Deluxes yesterday. And yes the Rodimus25 special Armada Overload in Energon Ultra Magnus packaging was still there. I can't believe they let you return it in that condition. You didn't even tie back down the figures. I swear that freaking figure taunts me everytime I see it, thinking it might be an Energon Ultra Magnus!
