While out searching in the NoVa area today I saw a fellow with "OPTMUS" on his license plate. Which one of you was that? :D

Nothing new at Springfield Town Centre Target, although the toy section has taken over an entire corner of the store in a layout that feels kinda TRU, somehow.

Five Below on the lower level of the mall has one and a half cases of wave 3 of the Loyal Subjects blind-boxed TF vinyl figures for $4 each, which is pretty good compared to what they usually cost.

The VCC Target in Glen Allen had a Siege Springer and an SS05 Optimus in an SS32 box yesterday. I'm not even sure I understand the motivation to do that. They cost the same amount. Anyway hope the guy that did it is real pleased with himself when he imagines some kid not understanding why it won't combine with Jetfire.

I frequently check that location and I hate shenanigans like this. I used to see a lot of this farther North, but I haven't come across it since I moved farther South. The only thing that is more frustrating to me is when you bring it to the attention of the employees and they just put it back on the pegs.

Liberia has about 25-30 wave 2 Siege deluxe figures. No Voyagers or anything else.
Manassas Mall is pretty much on the same boat -- There were about 25-30ish wave 2 Siege Deluxe figures. No landwhales this time.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many Deluxes of a single line at a store. It usually maxes out at 12ish.

You know, I'm not sure I've ever seen that many at so many stores in the past (not since G1). Dulles Landing usually has a huge number of figures on hand, but most other stores typically only have around 12-15. I feel like the figures are really being pumped out right now. Maybe Hasbro is compensating for how few figures were on pegs during POTP.

Hell, even Fair Lakes Walmart has a good 20 or so figures on their pegs right now, and that place is typically empty.

Fairfax Walmart has around 10 on their pegs right now and usually they only have 4.

Update: Well, according to brickseek Fair Lakes Walmart has 30 at their store.

Hmm... a lot of stores are suddenly showing up as out of stock. Maybe someone is buying up stock at a few stores and returning it to others, and that's why Liberia and Manassas have such high on-hand counts at the moment. Fair Lakes has an abnormal amount as well.

I forgot that I wrote down the on-hand count the day before yesterday, and no one is buying 12-25 toys from one store that quickly...

Yea, that has to be it. I was just in Woodbridge yesterday and they had a good 10 or 11 of the wave 2 figures on-hand. Oh well.

Is there anyone here in the Virginia area that maybe lives in the Gainesville/Haymarket area and has a job that allows them to commute to various locations? I would assume the person that does is probably the person responsible for this.

Don't forget that a lot of the big box stores are attempting to take up the slack and fill the toy void that was caused when Toys R Us went under. That likely explains some of the bonus stock people are finding. Wave 1 also seemed to sell well (much better at least than the 6month old Star Wars figures I still see hanging around) which would encourage the stores to order even more of Wave 2. So if you are a retailer who wants to get more into the toy game and saw that Wave 1 of a toy series sold well, it's not hard to imagine that you would double down on Wave 2

That's true as well. I'm a little worried about oversaturation, though.

    Siege size class
    087-16-3981 Battle (smallest)
    087-16-3983 Micro 630509754861
    087-16-3985 Deluxe 630509754649
    087-16-3984 Leader 630509748280
    087-16-6608 Voyager 630509754908

Here you go, @WockaWockaWocka. Are you in NoVA WWW? If you're looking for a particular figure, send me a PM, I'll find it and then hide it for you. I'll also take a picture of where I have hidden the figure and send the picture to you in PM. I've done it with a few peeps here in VA.

Oh, and here is the number for the X-Men wave if anyone is still looking:
    X-Men ML wave 087-06-5418 630509448890

Marvel legends still work at Target for some reason.

@BenjaminXavier has a link for the numbers in his signature. Seibertron and tformers usually have the numbers as well.

Thanks for all of that info and generosity GoLion! I used to be in NOVA, but no longer. I am in Ruther Glen now, so I usually go 30 min North to Fredericksburg or 30 min South to Ashland/Glen Allen. Happy hunting!

I have actually these amount of deluxes before at the Midloathian Walmart years ago and it was a large majority of Deluxe Dotm Optimus Prime. Like it was a crazy amount like it seemed this Walmart was expecting you to army build with just Optimus. I remember when they tried to get rid of them the end of the isle would just be filled with Optimus.

Okay, did another quick check of Brickseek. Some stores are now back up to 20 figures. Yea, someone is just shuffling the figures from store to store in the hopes that the store close to them will get the new stock in.

It might also be people manipulating the numbers on Brickseek. Can that be done?

Update: Can confirm - Figures at Sterling Walmart are just Wave 2. *Sigh*

Found Springer at Short Pump Target this morning, but it's street-dated for 7/28. They would not sell it to me. 0624190851_HDR.jpg
