Danbury TRU has Dinobots, Alpha-Q, Sixshot, and Wing Saber (two of each) sitting in a bin in the aisle. I left all of them there (I wanted Wing Saber, but I wanted Street Fighter Anniversary Edition more).

This thing is possibly the best Alternator yet. When he shows up, buy him. It's that simple. The toy is everything great about the Meister mold, with the stuff you hated fixed. The joints are tight, the rear end of the car holds together better, the plastic feels and looks better (no transluscence), and he's just plain evil-looking. I'm considering snagging another and switching out the head and gun-hand with my spare Meister to see if evil Jazz is any better than normal Jazz.

 

cybercon expo

Alright, here is the deal. That Cybercon expo in New York later this year is going to specifically focus on transformers (plus G.I. Joe, movies, anime, etc.) I think it would be great for us CT people to come up with a plan to attend together. As I have learned, not many friends will come to NY with me for 2 days jsut for that. Its definately easier to have few people with you all the way.

 

A great idea, but one that probably needs to be posted in the TF meet-up section. We should probably meet somewhere in CT first and get to know each other first. Otherwise I'll just wind up poking people I don't know with an old Tankor for the whole trip. I'm a jerk like that.

I like the sound of us getting together for Cybercon. Let's just wait until the school year's over. I'd love to meet you guys, but it'll be hard to do that when I'm in Georgia.

 

I would love to do this..but as of right now my plans are in flux..I might be moving to Charlotte NC in the next few months. I have gotten a few offers from a few different companies that would pretty much increase my income quite substanially. I love CT and hate to leave, but I have to think of my family first

Im still trying to get over the announcement of official convention being all the way in Dallas, TX. NO WAY Im going to be able to spend at least $500 on the trip (hotel, roundtrip plane ticket) and still be able to dish out cash at the convention. Unless we share rooms or come up with a plan to attend in groups, CyberCon in NY is gonna be the only option this year.

I found a Altenator Shockwave at the Rockyhill Walmart tonight. It was the same one I saw yesterday on my toy run.

BUT today I was shocked to see someone had torn the box on both sides of the top! WTF. I HATE when people do this. You think you are detering scaplers, but you are pissing of the collectors who actually like to keep thier boxes in mint condition. If someone here is doing it, then please, for the love of pete, knock it off !! No one wants to spend 20 bucks on a figure with a destroyed box.


The one I bought yesterday broke, so I needed to buy a replacement (Shockwave's hood and little hatch are very fragile so be careful).

 

Walmart in West Hartford on New Britain ave looks like it is thinning out. About time for a restock.

I saw that Shockblast in Rocky Hill. There was a wingsaber there too.

I think we should have a meetup in CT. Have a little swap meet?

 

The time is approaching... any more thoughts on this? Perhaps a car pool? I am still up for it.
