Long Island Sightings

Let's represent Long Island!

Okay, I've been seeing most of the new stuff at Toys R Us.

Universe is all over in those stores, deluxes, Ultras, all of it.

As far as Armada, the newest I've seen is Sideswipe, Thrust, Optimus with Insignia, and the Night Attack Team.

Hoist, Wheeljack, and the Emergency and Air Military Teams still elude me.

Anyone seen them?

Isn't New York large enough to justify breaking it up into regions for sightings?

How about a Long Island and Manhattan thread. Could we have one of those?

Target in Middletown has Tidal Wave.

 

I'll vote again for at least a NYC area thread vs. a NY state thread.

Not many NYCers even have cars, so there is really no point of even hearing about toys found upstate or Long Island.

It's a totally different world...

 

I'm in NYC, so I wouldn't mind more specificity... but then, the more we break it up, the less likely the thread is to get posts. So it could end up buried in the list, and then NO one would use it...

 

That's not really true. When I was on Rebelscum.com we had a NYC thread and I would keep it updated and when people saw there was actually a City specific thread, people flocked to it.

At any rate....

Times Square TRU has the Optimus with Autobot symbol, Tidal Wave, most of TF Universe stuff, Space Team , Sky Boom Shield, and all the recent re-issues.

Still looking for Wheeljack!

 

Last I checked (monday) the Times Square TRU had several Rescue Teams and one Air Mil team (which I grabbed. But that means that they are getting them in stock now). Also, as stated they has a couple of Tidal Waves and a load of TF Universes

 

Yesterday, the Times Sq. TRU had 5 or 6 Universe Razorclaws, no CD, no Primal. Lots of Universe deluxes, no CDs I could see. At least 1 Tidal Wave. No other Unicron Battles swag.

Lots of reissues, tho be warned that the new wave is actually 32.99 and 38.99... Red Alert and Skywarp rang up at that price when I first spotted and bought them there, but they weren't marked on the shelf and the clerk gave them to me for the slightly more reasonable old prices.

 

I finally found a Dark Saber Team in Walt Whitman Mall Toys R Us. First one I've seen, ever. Still there.

The Night Attack Team also just started coming in about two weeks ago.

...Long Island is going to take FOREVER to get the new stuff.

Now I'm waiting for the blue detailed Wheeljack. Sigh. At least I'm getting the X Dimension Air Military Team!

Shockwave is next!  

 

CDs=the CD-Roms that were supposed to be packaged with Universe figures, but apparently weren't in the first few shipments. They're supposedly starting to show up now in both deluxes and ultras, but the TRU Times Square didn't have those newer versions.

Air Military and Emergency teams have been spotted a fair amount in NYC.

I think LoserBroadside said he had seen Wheeljack and Hoist.

I don't know why they're changing Wheeljack's detailing but I'll wait for the second version i think.

 

Wheeljack, Hoist and the minicons were BREIFLY at the K-Mart near Union Square. They were there last wedsnday, and gone the next day. I'm thinking scalpers.

The minicons popped up at the TRU in Times Square monday, but were gone when I went there yesterday.

 

Thrust and Nemesis Prime are everywhere upstate. Wheeljack was briefly seen, but then he disappeared.

Went to TRU Times Square today (8/1). Haven't been there in a while, so let me re-cap on what I saw:

TF Universe beasts: Op Primal, Snarl, Razorclaw, Reptilion
Armada: Tidal Wave (finally got him today!!!!!!!), tons of Galvatrons, Smokescreens, Supercon Primes w/ autobot symbol, Jetfire, Super OP. I must say that I was very impressed with Tidal Wave, he's frickin' huge!! Haven't taken him out of the box yet, still MISB, until the weekend, I shall free him from the box where he resides. I also asked a TRU manager when Overload ships: the third (3rd) week of August. Plus, a TRU cashier told me that Unicron shows up on August 10, which is a Sunday. Anybody else find anything that I didn't??

 

I think you mean Power Linx Optimus Prime (yes, that's PLOP - talk to Orson).

Nemesis Prime is the to-be-released dark repaint of Bendy Prime.

 

IN the Hudson Valley area, the Matamoras PA Wal-Mart (JUST over the NY border off 84) has Skywarp and Overload.
