Also, Centereach Walmart has one on-sale Override, Hauler, two Scourges, and a slew of BW reissues and Legacy junk. A few Sludges and one Jihaxus too, but most have one by now

Back then, one of the original three owners of the entire chain ran the NY store(s). The NYC store has become more divested since, although legally there may still be a stake in it from one of the two UK chains (there was a schism over there too), but not affecting the store's operation. It runs completely independently.

It’s been a while since I’ve been back home but they used to be a place called Village Comics (I think they change their name to Saint Marks Comics a few years ago)……But they used to have a lot of stuff and some pretty good prices

IA has been gone for years, but DaShop in Chinatown has some of what they used to carry. Definitely go there. There are similar shops in Flushing Queens that do anime and will have TFs too.

Midtown Comics has three locations in Manhattan, so be sure to hit all of them for better odds.

Target is best when crawling several stores in a day. You'll likely walk away with some TFs that way, but doing one store is a roll of the dice. There's a bunch of Target's in Manhattan, and the Harlem one on 117th and FDR is the biggest with a larger than average section. If doing multiple boroughs, say you're driving, definitely do the south bronx one that is the largest in the city.

A place that might be worth checking too is Book Off on 45th street. They're a second hand shop that occasionally has sealed and loose TFs (among other things). Their sealed stuff can be pricey but I've walked away a few times with pretty inexpensive stuff (Beast Wars TMII Ravage for $15 once)

Good point. They are hit and miss as it depends on who walks in wishing to sell their stuff. Still, it sipped my mind.
