Went to the KC Collector Expo down in Independence today. Nice little show, mostly video games and Pokemon, so not a lot of Transformers. But there was a selection at various booths, of which I got the Micromaster Constructor Squad, a loose SS Bumblebee movie Blitzwing, and finally after all these years bought an OG Beast Wars D-7 Shadow Panther.
The Walmart on 291 in Lee's Summit has probably 4 of each Inferno and Armada Starscream. And they even put a clearance sticker on a headless Inferno (about $8 off)
Florissant target has two Transmetal II Megatrons, but they're on an endcap along the back of the department.
I've been checking my local one once a week give or take since wave two of Legacy Evolution hit stores elsewhere and nada. They had a Kingdom Arcee on clearance (which somehow was still MSRP) for ages and it finally disappeared about a month ago, then nothing transformers since.
Just sitting on a BBTS pre-order for Shrapnel...heh. already put in pre-order for Nemesis, so all I'll definitely want in the next little while is Beachcomber and Brawn.
Just spotted Transmetal II Megs over in the Independence/Blue Springs area today, first time seeing him in the wild. Also, same deal with spotting what seemed to be a case of Leo Prime/Tarn and Inferno/Starscream stocked on an endcap on the opposite end of the Transformer isle. No indication they were there, would have missed them if I didn't see the white of the Leo Prime in the shadows of the shelf.
Yeah, that's honestly been so demoralizing lately. Even the review boards here died off talking about the wave 2 deluxes.
Evo Wave 2 Deluxes have started showing up in Targets, just saw Shrapnel and Prowl today as a matter of fact. We already got a front-page post about them a while back because they were found at GameStop.
Brentwood Target had Core Swoop and Grimlock (and Core Starscream repack). Also some Buzzworthy Scorponoks.
Sorry guys. Swooped through St Louis today on my way home from vacation. Saw Transmetal dragon Megatron at a few places. Snagged Swoop and Scarr off an end cap at Wentzville Target! Hit up miniature market for some dice for Battletech. And I'm jealous. ANIMEGGROLL IS AWESOME! Wish I had more time and money. So much Gundam. Took me awhile to decide but I ended up grabbing an HG Kampfer since War in the Pocket and 08th MS Team were what got me into Gundam. Wish we had a place like that in Jefferson City or even Columbia. All I have is Target and Hobby Lobbys limited selection. It's a good day to be a geek! Good hunting!
