Hey if I’m telling you where something is I’ve gotta keep things fair by giving you something to hunt for.
So I got my hands on a PotP Elita-1. I already have a compatible Novastar, Lancer, and Moonracer. The chances of me ever acquiring a Greenlight ($150+ these days) are pretty much nil. So does anyone have a suggestion of a Combiner Wars limb that would be cheap, findable, and make sense character-wise with this team of 4 ladybots? These are the only PotP/Combiner Wars figures I have, aside from big Devvy. EDIT: After thoroughly researching for any lady Autobot combiner limbs, I found I’d have to stumble onto a separate Victorian limb. So I decided to go with a Trailbreaker, as I don’t have any other figure of him. Time Warp Toys happened to have one loose and it works well enough.
I don't know about the others, but that megatron is surprisingly decent. Not too hollow and the green pieces stay on fairly well. Not floppy either. I got him for cheaps with some target reward points some time ago, but for $20 it does seem a bit steep for a secondary market. $10 would be better. $15 is pushing it.
Time Warp got in a huge lot of Prime Wars trilogy figures and they’re still working through them. They’ve got full sets out already for a few of the combiners. If I had all the moneys…
Huh, that's interesting. I didn't know DG was carrying cyberverse figures; I thought they were only slated to sell the evergreen Authentics line up for $5/$10. I see those at the local store and they occasionally tempt me as desk transformers I don't have to worry about breaking or scratching, but they look so hollow (and Optimus's cab mode literally partsforms onto him) that I haven't gone for it. Can you tell me where you found these figures at Dollar General? Also, in case anybody's looking for him, I have once more buried the lede about a figure available in the greater Springfield area: you can still find some leader Slugs at the Walmart in Bolivar. I also have one I'm not super inclined to keep, so let's just say Slug is available.
4 Scourges at Springfield Campbell Walmart. One Blitrzwing at Target. Nothing else of note. Cosmos continues to be nonexistent around here.
The other Wildrider apparently sold, but there are still two “car enthusiasts” and a spider on the pegs.
Got lucky at Jefferson City Target today. Snagged the only Wild Rider from the back. They had 2 Tarantulas and an elita-1 on the shelf. Got the impression there was more deluxes in the back but he said I got the only Wild Rider. There was also a Blitzwing on the shelf.
