Thanks for the tip! I only snagged a Springload from the Combiner Force wave. Even though Starscream was temping, I left him there. I also picked up a full set of TR Titan Masters (Fangry wave) for myself and Havokss, but there was still a full set there when I left.

I completely forgot to mention the Titan Masters! Sorry gang. They had plenty on the pegs though (I didn't pick any of them up either).

Anyone know what the deal with this place is in Clackamas? Just called "The Star Wars Store":

Star Wars store is open Transformers Gi joe marvel

In the Craigslist ad you can see G1 Transformers boxes on the wall, I can make out Sky Lynx and maybe Omega Supreme? All I can see is that they had a store in 2010, it closed in 2011, now they are back?

I'm kind of shocked this whole area can support five stores all selling vintage stuff. Is there that much of a market for this stuff in this area? We have something like 8 toy stores total now if you don't count TRU, all owned by local businesses or run by one person. If you count TRU, at least 10.

However, I also posted this ad because the main picture has like 25 cases of Star Wars Black 2016 Wave 5, and that's the wave that has Revan. If you're looking for him, go check out this store and report back!

Interesting and I agree that we're able to support more collectible stores. Although would be nice to have one that can get updated stuff and not all vintage. And that's not having to get the updated stuff via scalping. Happy New year everyone.

Yea, I'm just surprised there are that many vintage collectors in this area that there is room for a fifth store. At least two of those stores specialize in Star Wars stuff too. I'd imagine between Dr. Tongue, Billy Galaxy, Rogue Toys, and Showroom Collectibles you could probably find any vintage Star Wars item you were looking for.

To be fair, that Craigslist ad for Star Wars Store has about 20 cases of the newest Star Wars Black wave in it, so they might not be all vintage?

At this point, I'm expecting Simply Toyz to open up a new shop again :lol

Oh shit. I totally forgot. I was at The Star Wars store two weeks ago. So they have a lot of cool stuff. Not a ton of vintage Transformers. They still got a lot of that old Star Wars store stock of POTF and new Trilogy and Saga era figures for Star Wars. As far as modern Transformers go it's a mix of anything from Beast Wars to TFCC to current stuff. I actually picked up a 2015 Tokyo Toy Show Black Convoy exclusive from them, and I was about to get the TFCC Punch-Counterpunch figure but I ended up leaving him.

The store also had a few 3rd Party items there. Warbot Defender, Warbot Revolver, boxed set of Quantron, and the MMC Hearts of Steel minisub guy.

Guy who runs the place told me they're an official dealer of Funko and Hasbro and Mattel or something like that, and in a few months they intend to expand the store and offer current stuff at retail prices for stuff like Funko Pops and Transformers and such.

Pretty cool! They really need to change their name in that case. Generic name that fools customers into thinking they only carry one type of product.

I'll probably check it out next time I'm in the area.

That store potentially has been in a legal battle with Disney and LucasFilms due to using the phrase "Star Wars" in the store's name without permission. In order to put Star Wars related content in a store's name or a group, they have to do a lot of paperwork in order to prevent the legal battles. This may be due to that they were closed back in 2011. There is also a possibility that they would have to jump through hoops in order to sell Star Wars stuff in the store as well, particularly the newer stuff.

The Clackamas TRU should have no problem supporting itself with Happy Valley nearby (average of Happy Valley is 14 cause of all of the kiddos around). The explosion of vintage toy shops here though is somewhat new. Might be just because the people moving to Portland tends to favor things like collecting toys?

I should have some time tomorrow at lunch to check this place out. Anything I should look for?

Prices are probably the most important thing (to me, anyways), especially on newer stuff if they have any. A lot of these indie toy stores tend to price themselves out when it comes to newer stuff, which is why I imagine so many of them hone in on vintage... no competition from Amazon, Wal-Mart, and all the other big box stores out there.

I forgot, technically there is an 11th toy store in the area. In the consignment store next to Milwaukie TFAW is a guy who has a section where he continuously puts newer Star Wars Black and Marvel Legends figures in there at a few bucks over retail (so like $24 instead of $20).

I wish the folks at Star Wars Store luck, they are entering into an extremely crowded marketplace now with a lot of folks who have had stores here for a year or more. People are loyal to specific stores and you really have to do something big to get new customers, I would imagine. It's even harder since this area is so rife with Targets, Wal-Marts, and Walgreens that just offering new figures at retail prices isn't a huge deal, we have like 30 other stores that also do that. Hopefully they come up with some kind of hook that works for them, I figured I'd get their name out there to you guys to give them a fair shot.

I totally missed that someone said that the Star Wars store looked like it may have had the Darth Revan wave.
Has anyone checked on this? I wish I had read that message when I had the time off to check out that store :(

Yes he does. He's selling Darth Revan at retail, and says he's pretty much the only one with them. He doesn't have them out on display, but he has cases of them if you ask for them. He also has the older waves for varying prices, from 20-25, to a few at 75 for the harder to find Black Series.

His prices vary widely. I saw a few good boxed G1s with prices about 10-15 above Facebook/eBay (Battletrap/Flywheels for 50 each boxed, Slapdash for 120 boxed, Thundercracker for 100 boxed), which is good for local, but there are some that are way inflated (450 for G1 Megs boxed). Had a boxed G1 Fort max for 1500, which is a bit above retail. He definitely caters to Star Wars though, as his TF stuff is pretty slim. There are some of the Generations scattered about, and a few 3P and KOs around too, which were interesting. He also has a big bucket of GI Joe parts if you have anything you are looking for.

Star Wars takes up about 3/4 of the floor space though, so TFwise, there isn't much.

Edit: Extra words my phone ate added.

Don't waste your time if you just want Revan -- my girlfriend just called over there and asked and he's selling the cases only, meaning you need to buy the entire wave to get Revan. She didn't ask how much the cases were, if they were retail I assume $120 for the entire case.

    Well, that sucks.
I've seen one or two Episode IV Obi Wans around, but that is the only sign I've seen of this wave. Online it seems to be sold out. The only places I can hit up early in the morning are Freddies, and I've not seen anything newer than The Force Awakens Wave 1 remnants... :(

Yea, as soon as she was off the phone I rushed here to tell you before you drove all the way there -- I had a feeling you didn't want the case and didn't want you to waste a trip!

The cases are still available at BBTS and Dorkside Toys. According to Dorkside (who posted on a different forum), most major retailers are going to skip this wave due to it not having any Rogue One characters. Take it with a grain of salt but it seems like it could be true. He said GameStop likely got this wave because it had Darth Revan, who is a video game character. The wave after this is 100% Rogue One and he said retailers are going to go all in on that one instead.

    Ugh.
Well, again I am begging that if anyone manages to spot one at retail, please grab it for me!
