For years now the listed price at the convention vs. what TRU actually sells them for has been very different. You can bet TRU will milk this to the max.

Thanks to the stupid ass snow I haven't been at work since Dec. Was planning on going to Toy Con but alas no money. Manager emailed me saying I go back next week however, but until it gets warmer its not looking plentiful for me this next month lol

 

Managed to get a Whirl for $20 at the toycon. There was a Takara MP Soundwave, some other vintage g1 stuff as well. Plenty year of the whore primes & starscreams also. If it's marvel figures you're looking for that's the place to be.

 

Despite being a comic collector before a Transformers/toy collector, I had no idea Marvel toys were in such high demand and they made so many until I started looking for Transformers at conventions.

 

The movies have really boosted their popularity.

 

Went to toy show because of padre they defiantly had a lot but way over priced g1 really 30 bucks for a g1 astrotrain that couldn't even stand on his own

 

There is a lot of overpriced stuff at the show, but you will find some deals. padre got a great deal on Whirl & Skids. I got some good deals on Lego sets.

 

target palatine had another set of the new idw wave (skywarp/scoop/minicons/armadascream) 1 of each. they still never changed the price tag (9.99) from when I bought mine and had to get a price adjustment, so if you're around the area and need them, just do the same. wave ain't bad for $40, though imo I'd pass on that minicon team. definitely the stinkers of that set when scoop and armadascream are so excellent.
