Funny thing is, at one point they were the best in the area for good Transformers that were hard to find. I remember when I first learned that the original G1's were being reissued (to my surprise). The only place I found one was in Columbia at the old Columbia Toys R Us and it was the jackpot of all Transformers reissues of the day. I got the first reissue (commemorative series) of Optimus Prime from Columbia Toys R Us.

By the way, would you guys be interested in arranging a meet up to hang out one weekend in the warm weather future? I think it would be fun to catch up with some of you guys.

 

I agree! When I was working in that area, they got all the AoE figures first (infact, I was able to snag a few pre-street) and a TON of the CW stuff actually made the front page as being found there.

I'd totally be down for a meet up at some point. Which reminds me, I still need to register for TFCon...

 

In my experience, Columbia has been up and down when getting new Transformers. Sometimes I can find new Transformers no problem. Other times, I would buy them online, and I still couldn't find them anywhere at retail. I remembered when the first movie toys came out, finding them in Columbia was easy. Recently, it seems that Columbia gets new toys later than everywhere else in Maryland.

Also, I would be interested in a meet up. It would be fun meeting more collectors here. I just need to know when.

 

That reminds me, who else is going to TFcon? I will definitely be there. I already got my hotel room. I just need to register and get my ticket when it becomes available.

 

Meet ups are fun for the most part. Finding a time where everyone is free is the greatest obstacle. I've met quite a few awesome folks that are still friends today.

Tfcon is a worthy event. I look forward to it.

 

I'll be going. I've wanted to hit a transformers convention for a long time, so having one this close is too tempting to turn down.

 

I'm not hitting tfcon but I'd happily attend a local meetup if we decided on a time. If I know a week ahead of time I can clear my schedule and go.

Well I just stopped in to the Salisbury Toys R Us and used the UPC code and found out they have no chaos on velocitron sets yet.

 

I'll be at TFCon all weekend with my buddy. Up for a meet up possibly.

Rockville Target had nothing of note. A Triggerhappy and a Twinferno were the most interesting things there.

 

Sixshot at the Pasadena Walmart, on sale for $40! They also had one Voyager Prime and Megatron.

 

Likely due to him being a part of that upcoming BBTS exclusive box set--hopefully it will be $99 like the TRU set.
