You know...every time you feed a scalper, a puppy gets his tail cut off by a lawnmower...lol... Think of the puppies! I guess $60 isn’t so bad...haha...

One of my friends told me most of the ones he’s seen are $100+ so it could be worse. Plus factoring in potential gas consumption its decent

Yep after going from Lex to Louisville and Cincy multiple times for Baroness, I gave myself a $ limit and day cut off for hunting it.
I’m still gonna keep an eye out for others on here if I find them out.

It just occured to me that the real pain for old school, ARAH collecters will be when the new *JoeMovieVerse* figures come out. We'll see peg after peg after peg full of "maskless and talkative" Snake-Eyes that we do not and will not ever want. And ugly, movie-versions of beloved characters whose classic representations were all Target exclusives that only employees and scalpers ever saw.

Hasbro will then declare, "See, we listened, fans! Look at all of the short-haired, androgynous Baroness figures now easily available!" $%^& you, Hasbro.

Buddy we must have been looking at two different toys - me personally I'm just glad we'll get toys of characters whose accessories look like actual firearms and not literal children's toys.

Also the designs look fine, just calm down dude the movie isn't made for you and that's okay, not everything has to be (especially since, to be brutally honest, nobody outside of boomers gives a fuck about G.I. Joe anymore and this movie is meant to try and pull in a new audience in hopes of revitalizing the franchise because you know, that's how it works? When new people gain interest in a thing, suddenly the thing has a longer life).

You’re entitled to your opinion, but you’re not entitled to mine. But thanks for obnoxiously and arrogantly dismissing someone else’s perspective out of hand and proving my point. No, the movie and toys aren't meant for the longtime fans who would love to give Hasbro money and keep the hobby and franchise alive. Exactly right. They're aimed at a mostly non-existent audience- people who "don't give a fuck about G.I.Joe" but would somehow pay to see the new movie and buy these new toys.. Makes sense.

Yeah it does make sense because that's how movie adaptations work is by bringing in a new audience - you think every single person who went to go see Transformers 07 was a Geewunner? I certainly wasn't, I was like twelve, but it was the thing that got me into Transformers as a whole. Just don't flippantly dismiss the new because you're still hung up on the old - and this is coming from someone who thinks the Snake Eyes movie just looks okay.

Also, where were those "longtime fans" when the franchise was wheezing its dying breaths a few years back? Classified is coming after a hiatus of SEVERAL years with no new toys or TV shows, and if those "longtime fans" were doing everything they could to keep it alive, then clearly they weren't enough. All I'm saying is it's well past the time to try and attract a new audience to G.I. Joe if Hasbro genuinely wants it to be a viable media property.

Threadcrapping sucks. You got some “hot take” on GI Joe movie designs take it over to the GI Joe thread. What cool shit have you seen on the shelves near you?

I will say that I am not exactly thrilled that they opted to Hollywood correct Snake-eyes. But I already expect that movie to be bad so I suppose it doesn't exactly bother me either.

As for the toys, it's going to be the same as every movie toy line. First wave will fill shelves, sell for while, refill the shelves. Second wave will slowly encroach upon the empty spaces. Third wave will show up in obscure places that order lower inventory and the fourth wave will be best ordered at BBTS and the like if you want to see it at all. If there is a fourth wave. We've all done this dance with GI Joe movie toys before.

Been there. Five hours driving. Full tank of gas. Far too many Targets. Come up empty handed... fucking scalpers ruin a hobby pretty fast. Ah well, least we haven't gotten to trading card levels yet. I would hate to be a legitimate collector of those right now.

Did see a Stratos in Ohio the other day. A lone Stratos. Just hanging out. Maybe he was overlooked because he was behind six Skeletors.

I just traded my fwoosh articulate icon white ninja and arms pack for a Major Bludd. Came from a facebook group I mod and dude had some good references and since I got that fig at a toy mall for less than the fwoosh price when it sold...I think I got a good deal. $20 for arms pack, I would have paid retail plus shipping and throw the guy $10 for his trouble...but anything over $45...NOPE...I'd rather never get a figure than feed a scalper. I need some supplies for organization tomorrow so I might do a little toy hunting...however my explorer is getting a lot of bugs and wear/tear so it may be limited to closer to my side of town. Will definitely hit up toy headquarters (which may or may not have that pink ranger retro...they do have a red ranger sword, few lightning collection and things so I will look there).

Found these at my Walmart in London the other day and forgot to post. Took a
Huffer and left the rest. Looks like they had just busted open a whole case.

I’ve been checking but no luck yet. Will probably be a few weeks until he hits our area and then a few weeks/months after that where he’ll be stocked enough to be easily available

I'm in Falls of Rough today so I stopped in the Walmart in Hardinsburg on the way this morning. I thought being small (wow they don't even have self-checkout) and out-of-the-way they might have good stuff. No, just Netflix Wheeljacks and a couple of Elita-1 and Kingdom Wave 1 Deluxes and two SS Starscreams from the Bumblebee movie. I bought a RED Soundwave for $15 on "clearance" to justify having gone in there.
