I'm very disappointed that so many stores are dropping the ball on the Combiner Wars series...Meijer was doing good with the first waves and some are still getting stuff, but the ones here in Saginaw only have the legends size. Target around here only has a few deluxes and a couple legends, but piles of generations voyagers they need to clearance. TRU really dropped the ball and beyond the Megatrons, which they got in just that one time, maybe twice, and the Blackjack/Huffer wave, they have had ZERO CW stuff and their shelves are just full of RiD and movie garbage. And Walmart...well...the less said the better... Sometimes I wish I could be in charge of the Transformers sections in all the stores in my area lol
southgate tru today had 2 rid warriors drifts and 1 optimus, bought optimus and 1 drift. no new combiner wars there, they did have some wave 1 deluxes though.
Quit complaining... If you really want combiner wars, drive here and every store will have the stuff. Or order online...
i really don't know why people are complaining about these guys at all, yet venerating the G1 scramble city ethos. these are basically the same toys we got in 1986 except groove is gonna be smaller and alpha bravo is replacing slingshot. (Did any of you folk really care about slingshot these past 20 years? did i miss in my google image search the slingshot tribute tattoos?) Wouldn't we as children of the 1980s love the prime combiner from that one episode had it came out back then? remember gang- we don't need to buy every toy hasbro makes every year, and these are things for kids first. Will i be getting everything this year? Nope. so for the most part- i don't feel too complain-ey about this new scramble city-ish stuff. Is it perfect? no. but they're pretty good considering the limitations of mold reuse and the like.
Hmm. Looks like I missed the easy boat on Arcee. I kept hoping after the dock strike resolved that the wave would start showing up amid CW, but I'm guessing that's not going to happen. I guess I'll have to pay some higher prices and buy online then. Rats.
I never even saw an Arcee in the store, either, so you're not the only one who missed her. Stopped by the other walmart in saginaw yesterday and they had the latest, greatest, brand new from the case....armada starscream assortment...wow...wonder where they found that box lol
I went with the "girls" via BBTS. When my RID Nemesis Prime drops I'll have the POL shipped out. Had I thought a bit faster, I would've had it ship with Star Saber, but they would've been completely overlooked anyway. I'm so hyped for SS, I have been for a while.
I saw two Motormasters at Meijer on Belleville Rd this morning. I would have picked one up, but mine's already coming from HTS.
If anybody still needs a Legends Gears (or whatever the class is called), there are some at the Walmart at Mound Rd. and M-59. They hardly had anything new - just 1-step RIDs and no CW's, but a bunch of AOE stuff. What they DID have is Rescue Bots Blurr and Salvage, and they were priced at only $7! Beats checking HTS once in a while to see if they're available yet. My 4-year old's gonna love them!
TRU Okemos had 4 Leader Class Megatrons (2 Armada, 2 G1), 3 Huffers, 2 Powerglides, 3 Blackjacks tonight. Might be worth checking local TRUs to see if they've restocked the Megatrons.
They seem to have restocked all through the area yesterday. I found Armada Megs at a few TRUs on my commute home yesterday. I found G1 Megs at the Westland TRU. There were two, and I grabbed one of them.
I saw two each of Armada and G1 CW Leader Megatron at TRU in Ann Arbor this morning. The sad thing is they raised the price on them to $49.99
