I took the sparkless seeker from Tylersville Ross- Still had a Slammer some Black Arachnias and the Primal/Rattrap- decided against spending the extra 17 just to bin them
Newer stuff is usually overpriced and there's this one vintage transformer dealer that has the same junky crap every time for waaay too much money (trust me, you'll know him when you see him), but I've also randomly found some really good deals and unique figures that I'd never expected to see. One of my favorite finds was the year I got a MIB Titans Return Trypticon for 60 bucks. If you go in with a hardcore shopping list you may be disappointed, but for me half the fun is being surprised by what I might find. It's definitely worth a trip, especially if you've never been before.
Target Parma: 1 Cybertron Jazz, Core Class Slag (the triceratops) only stand outs Steelyard Commons: Needlenose Wave, Breakdown, etc. Walmart Parma:Big Earthspark, no legacy $22-25 figures when i was there.
Morse Rd Target has 2 Metalhawks and 1 Lio Convoy. I left with the lone Scraphook they had in a horribly beaten box.
Targets, does hitting multiple Targets make me a. . . Target Master? Fairview Park - Nothing of note on TF, but Masterverse basic figs marked down to $10 Avon Target - Blue Blaster (Sorry blanking on name), Metalhawk, Tarn, and Lio Convoy x2 (Is this a single case pack), did not see sale signage for Masterverse figures here.
Which classes? Kinda thinking about getting Freezer since I should have a Scourge coming soon but wanna see him in person
So I went to the Xenia Toy Show. It was crowded - sometimes too crowded. There were a decent amount of Transformers there. Like someone else said, the newest stuff was overpriced. Here was my Transformers haul: I also got a few of the vintage G1 Transformers party supplies (not pictured). Anybody else go? If so, what did you get?
I went, picked up some beast machines vehicons - loose for decent price, got another collectors case, transformers vintage coloring book that i am going to frame, and one of those see and read transformers books with the record. Very cool show. New stuff was crazy priced.
I ended up going despite telling myself I shouldn't lol. I went a little later this year hoping that the crowd wouldn't be as bad. That was a mistake - it was the most crowded I've ever seen it! There were whole aisles I skipped because it was just too packed to move! It looked like the crazy weather didn't deter anyone from coming out either. That wind was nuts too. I was standing at one of the vendors with all of the vintage boxed G1 stuff next to an open garage door, and this huge gust came through and knocked over a ton of their G1 boxed stuff on display. I felt so bad for them! I hope nothing was too badly damaged in the fall. I ended up getting a couple of Neca figures and I finally found a G1 Blitzwing in good shape and complete for a decent price (from the Toy Dept. booth of all places).
I once again had to pass. Too much going on at home to be able to go. My wallet thanks me though... Maybe this fall...
Steelyard Commons Walmart - Earthspark restock. Legacy a bit thin - Elita 1, Hotshot/head (the Armada hot-blooded dude), a bug. Target - Needlenose and Breakdown. I snagged a Breakdown and am now 80% to a Menasor... I didn't intend to end up here... Seven Hills Meijer - Hurting. Some Earthspark figures in amongst the toy cars, which I guess sort of makes sense; but not really in the general scheme of things. Things I forgot to mention yesterday: Avon Meijer - Also hurting real bad. Although their toy section is larger than the Seven Hills location, so there's more shelf space to be empty. Avon Walmart - Nothing of note.
