I've had to stop preordering things after getting shocks like that from stuff showing up months early.... Hope everyone can afford the onslaught!

I usually plan for their estimated release window to be at least a couple months early. What i am surprised about is how close they are to the street dates in stores. Pulse is usually at least 6 weeks behind the stores. That probably means the wave is going to hit shelves soon too.

Well I luckily moved my Armada Starscream pre-order over to Amazon and was able to get Ironhide from Amazon as well, so they only things I'll get charged for are Dead-end and Point-blank. So shouldn't hit my wallet too hard.

BBTS just sent me six "preorders processing soon" emails for wave 3 deluxes, SS hot rod and Crosshairs, and 86 Ironhide. Armada Starscream just shipped out. Thank god I worked a bunch of OT last week because jeez :lol

I received that same string of e-mails.

I can't keep doing this, though. Hasbro needs to start posting realistic release dates, or I'm going to need to stop pre-ordering, because this is making it virtually impossible for me to adequately budget on a monthly basis. I suppose I could just take their advertised dates and subtract 2 - 3 months, but that doesn't seem like a reliable method to me.

I basically pay myself when I preorder stuff and put it in a separate account waiting for the inevitable. The problem though is I just keep adding to it.

This is the most sensible option, and difficult to wrestle with. I don't believe we'll be getting better ship/availability info in the near future. These products are mass produced and loaded in a shipping container at the best price manufacturers and distributors can negotiate. Not accounting for supply chain delays.

I don't know squat about the logistics, but I get the feeling the bean counters aren't on board with heavily altering what they've got working now, despite quarterly or bi-annual releases being a more appealing option for budget minded collectors.

That said, I am an idiot with money and understand the struggle; but also realize I am an idiot and make use of Excel spreadsheets to manage expenses and bank balances. Even with those precautions there are some months when website registration, web hosting, auto insurance, and other big bills come due and my finances are left hurting. At the very least my budgeting tools help alleviate some of the stress and mental anguish.

At the end of the day, this is a luxury hobby. I'm currently looking for an exit ramp, but the bastards keep making neat toys that the part of myself that is most detestable wants because I'm a greedy little ape. :p

Dead End and TLK Hot Rod are "Shipping Now" on amazon. Armada screamer expected on Tuesday. So guess I'll cancel the pulse orders for those.

You may want to wait until you get them. The last two figures I got from Amazon were damaged and I had to return both of them.

Blue Ash Target helping me to round out the SS 86 crew! Found 2 Ironhides, left 1. They also had a SS86 Wheelie.

SS Galvy is also left, nothing else to report.
