Columbus surprised me. I was shocked at how behind the times the metro is when it comes to toys. Plenty of old stuff, and what they do have is all overstocked. Clothing? Nah. Food? Nope. Want to see what the demographics are like? Go to toys. That'll tell you. I've seen stores that are equally mixed between boys and girls, I've seen some heavily skewed towards girls, I've seen places where Transformers and Wrestling are the bee's knees (Youngstown metro and most of NEOH) and I've seen places where they have zero impact and just don't sell pretty much at all. It's definitely interesting to see.
So, real talk. I have zero interest in Ironworks. I will absolutely be skipping him... ...but the map that the box inserts make? That's of interest to me. If there is anyone around here who picks up an Ironworks deluxe and wouldn't mind working with me to send me the hexagonal-designed insert that goes in-box behind-plastic, I would greatly appreciate it.
I agree with you, its more about the excitement of a new product more than anything. Really, I'm trying to find love for both of these bots, but I haven't even touched them since I've bought them. Normally, I can't put the new product down when I buy it.
I get that feel. The newest thing I've seen out and about since Christmas was Rung, and that was weeks ago and anti-climactic (not that I don't love Rung). I've got two KOs on order through AliExpress but because of the New Year and now the Coronavirus, they still haven't even shipped and it's been 5+ weeks. And I went to the big show a couple of weeks back with a stack of bills and only came away with the space shuttle version of CW: Blastoff and disappointment. In the past, now might be a good time to change gears over to Power Rangers/Sentai, but the American stuff is either giant-blocks-of-immovable-plastic or incredibly expensive. On the japanese side, I really don't like the design of Ryusoulger and think I'll be passing on those until/unless I can get them cheap later on
South Lebanon Target is a bust, nothing new and they said they've not gotten any Earthrise in at all yet
Also if any y’all get the chance to go to Japan absolutely take it. Not gonna lie I went last summer and I miss it almost every day
Japan was supposed to be a stop over last years when visit and vacation in Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand. But the plane has some issues and got diverted to London instead. Also, recommend this countries as well.
Still no sign of Earthrise in Grove City. But did pick up Siege Rung and Singe at Meijer on London-Groveport Rd. Siege is now officially done for me. Meijer still had 3 each of these little guys left for whoever needs them.
