Also made a run to the Target and Walmart in Milford, nothing overly exciting except Walmart had a whopping 4 figures which were Micromaster sets. Eastgate had nothing in terms of Siege/SS but did have a Cyberverse Soundwave Warrior class. Beechmont had the best selection though, having I believe 2 full SS Wave 5 Deluxe cases, 2 of both Shockwave and Magnus, a good number of Siege Megatron/Prime, and I think a few deluxes. Sonothing new just a nice amount of product
So not a sighting, but since @TFXProtector and I were having issues with SS Jetfire, I decided to take it apart and see if I could fix the problem. I pushed the pin out of the joint and rounded the edges off of the connector piece, and it works great now without stressing the plastic!
Since apparently Wave 2 is starting to show up at retail, I'm gonna check the South Zanesville Walmart in a bit. Might check the North side too. I'm not hopeful though. Was in Lancaster yesterday and they had nothing but SS Dropkick, Barricade and Crowbar.
I knew it would be a simple fix and that one specifically. I'm guessing they think it'll be structurally sound when they design it that way, but I can't help thinking just a little bit that it's designed that way on purpose so we'll rebuy. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, I own it, but I just have to wonder why they'd make such a terrible design flaw. I'm not racing out, yet. I'm going to sit back and wait a bit. None of the Walmarts around me (one across the border is nice, though) have anything remotely new or noteworthy. Problem is, they have stuff on hand and they just don't put it out. =\ I'm wondering if they're waiting for the next reset to do so...
I wonder the same thing. There is no way that didn't happen in product testing, Quality Control, and with prototypes. So it's either just laziness, lack of care, or like you said, hoping we'll just buy a new one...
I only stopped because I was gonna be going passed it and I needed to pick some things up anyway. But it was as bare as always.
Quick update about The ToyDept. They ONLY deal in other people toys or collectibles! He does not buy or order anything new into the store! He relies 100% on collectors in the area to buy and bring stuff in. Not like Transfan, where they do new ordering from Hasbro and such, but they don't buy collectibles from collectors.
This is not normal! Something must had happen there! Marcy is the one who runs the store for their sons which has something wrong with one or both of them. Sounds like maybe medical event happen and that's why they closed? Other than that, They're always open except for Sundays and Mondays. If you want their number, just PM me
You can try Mavericks as well. Located in Kettering, down the road from the Greene outside mall. Its a comic book shop, they do buy and sell collectibles as well.
Found SS Jetfire Saturday night at Sugarcreek Target. Also had 2 of each of SS Megatron and Screamer. they have Siege Prime, Megs and Cog as well.
Oakley Target: 2 of each SS Wave 5 Deluxe except Clunker Bee, 1 each of SS Jetfire/DOTM Megs Blue Ash Target: 1 Siege Shockwave/Magnus plus this gem
So I was going to go to the Walmart on Cincinnati Dayton in West Chester this afternoon after work (Almost did on my way in this morning but slept in 5 minutes too much to safely do so), because they apparently got a case of Siege voyagers in yesterday. Have to assume it was the S bros, as that case was bought (according to BS) before I could leave work. So I sadly went to the Walmart on Princeton Rd near Bridgewater Falls, and scored differently, shockingly. They had 1 G1 Gears, and a bunch of the Star Wars Vintage Collection Mimban Stormtrooper. Nabbed the Gears (at a few bucks off because it came up unknown item at the register), and 2 of the Stormtroopers.
DaMn! Mimban Stormtroopers huh? I haven't seen any of them since last year! I think either Walmarts or Hasbro distribution is sucking again. Never seen them around the Walmarts in Dayton, the last two I bought was around West Chester area. BTW, I'm talking about the 6inch not the 3 3/4.
So, it's looking like I'll be in the Columbus area this weekend (the wife and I need to get away for a bit. Ugh.) and I'm hoping there's something new out there. I'm not sure where we're staying, yet, booking that later today. One of the first places I'm checking is Meijer. Anyone found Siege Voyagers there, yet? (Screamer and Soundwave.)
Yeah, I got the 6 inch last year, the one I found yesterday was the Vintage Collection 3 3/4 size one. This distribution has been a Walmart issue it seems. Not as much Hasbro.
I thought there was a street date for Soundwave and Screamer? I keep thinking April first? Plus I keep seeing that date on Hasbro Pulse and Amazon for their release. I know there is always a chance other retailers may get this earlier.
