Finally found Pablo at the 9 Mile Target in Pensacola! He was hidden in the collectibles section in the back, but my radar was especially tuned today. They also had 3 Primals, 3 United Bumblebees, 1 Windblade, and 1 Chase.
Might be, lol! He was hidden behind a bunch of random Lego sets that shouldn't have been their either. I just caught the white on his head peeking out.
I think one of Hasbro's failures in future series' is borrowing names from previous characters while trying to make them into new characters. I remember as a kid I wouldn't collect a figure that had a borrowed name from an original G1 guy. I didn't mind repaints but don't give a character the same name as a recognizable character like Jetfire or Wheeljack because they are too cheap to TM or Register new character names. It really is off putting and lazy.
That's pretty silly. Most kids getting into TFs from an entry show don't know squat about the franchise history. Armada (UT in general) reused a lot of names and those characters are who I and many others think of when those names are used. The big issue is blatantly rereleaseing a barely altered version of G1 every 3-4 years as the flagship children's show instead of creating new ideas, Universes and characters. With how Transformers names work if we never reuse them we'll eventually get to he point where we'll have to name them something stupid like Hashtag, could you imagine?
Not everyone has been collecting for the entire lives. Generations figures back in 2011 got me back into collecting. The nostalgia of these characters. Same thing happened to a few of my friends in 2019 with the Siege stuff. Every few years they have to refresh their bread and butter and sell us the same character. They only have so much water to pull from the well.
I saw over a dozen snarl during circle week at target but they are all gone now. I also saw one at walmart in lakeland. So there is hope for walmart shoppers.
But they're not refreshing anything. They're reheating left overs. You can only eat left over for so long before you want something new.
