If they're in the tokyo area they should go to Akihabara for sure, everything you mentioned will be there. The only thing about Akihabara is that it's always changing and so are the prices, sometimes you'll find amazing prices on things you want other times you wont. It seems like he's visiting everywhere in Japan almost so maybe some more people down south on here can give him some more information. Unless it's a hobby shop reasonable prices are not comming along unless he's alright paying at least $30 a deluxe so yeah.

    Hi everyone,

I will be in Tokyo soon and I will of course visit Akihibara! I'm mostly looking for Henkei and United stuff and especially for good deals on opened Henkei Transformers. Do y'all know of a specific shop where I'd have the most luck?

    Thanks!

I did more traditional sight-seeing in Kyoto. That place is absolutely gorgeous. There is so much vibrant cultural history there, there was no time for anything else.

Hello all. I am visiting Tokyo from the 1st to 4th and was hoping to get some advice. Do any shops carry 3rd party transformers there? Also is the new gundam statue in Odaiba visible yet? I was going to see it in Shizuoka, but I am afraid its no longer there. I was also hoping to find some things for my gtfour, but I heard there is not much in the way of tuners in Tokyo. Thanks for your help.

Edit: I was wondering if free wifi was common there? If not, then I need to print all my maps out when I get there.

For those wondering The gundam statue is on display at Diver City.
The only toy shopping I could find was in Akiharabara.

    hay guys,
a friend of mine is visiting me in the states and i was wondering if there was any stores like toys r us that still have first edition bulkhead or DOTM soundwave. i believe he is flying out of tokyo and he said he would bring me a figure or two.
if not anywhere he should look or just online.

    Hello,

I am planning on visiting Osaka soon. Does anyone know of places that sell 3rd party items in store? I want to see if I can pick some stuff up while I am there.

I know it's not Tokyo, but there are two Toys R Us' in Yokohama. One is not far from the JR subway stop underneath the Landmark Tower. The other can be found along the major highway leading from Yokosuka to Yokohama, route 16 I wanna say. Just outside Yokohama. As for Tokyo, I would suggest looking around Akihabara. I distinctly recall a vintage 80's toy store on the 7th or 8th floor of a building 1 or 2 blocks right down the main street you come out to from exiting that train station. I wanna say it started with an M - well, at least it did in spoken Japanese. :D  Have fun!

I've been hunting for 5 days and have yet to see an mp wheeljack on store shelves in Tokyo or Osaka. Good luck!

Store with an M was probably Mandarake

Just got back from Tokyo and didn't find too many Transformers. Not knowing exactly where to look didn't help. I tried Yodobashi Camera @ Akihabara which had a moderate selection, but just mainstream stuff. No Masterpieces for sure.

I found the most at Yamashiroya toy store in Ueno, right outside of the Metro station (not JR). Here are some pics.

Found a Grandus selling for Roughly $1000 bucks. :p  Seems to be missing a few pieces, Couldn't stay long to check him. I'll head back again and ask to see him in more detail. This was in a small town where I reside in Fukui, Japan.

Going to Japan in a week!

Any recommendations for Takara transformers? I'm interested in a reissue MP-10 and a Takara Arcee mainly. I'll be in Tokyo and Osaka for about a week! Any info is appreciated!
