Anyone seen the Hasbro MP-10 around Taipei? I've had no luck finding one and was wondering what it's priced at here.

Then again, maybe they'll have them available at the Transformers Expo next month.

I was in Taiwan last week and only saw the Takara MP 10, in both Taipei and Kaohsiung.

Expensive. I don't remember the exact price in NTD but I do remember converting it to about £125, which is well out of my budget.

I will be visiting Taipei early November. Are there good toy stores for Transformers in Taipei?

Hey, ^Constructicon BC^, how was your trip here to Taiwan? Find any good stuff?
    ---------------
    Also:
FOC Ultra Magnus, Sideswipe, and Starscream spotted at Toyland (玩具歡樂成) in the Zhongxiao Fuxing (忠孝復興)Sogo, 12th floor. NT$649ea.
    ---------------
    Also:
I found Bot Shots Battlemask Bumblebee and the clear Chase Shockwave at a Carrefour in Sanxia (三峽). But NOWHERE else has them! Weird.
That wave also has Truck Megatron, Skywarp, and Roadbuster.

Has anyone seen any of this wave anywhere at all?

Dan, did you try the Shulin Carrefour? They have a decent-sized Transformer section and occassionally get some good stuff in. I found the Robo-vision Voyager Optimus Prime there when the first movie was released. Never saw it anywhere else.

Thanks Rob^ for finding those Bot Shots for me at the TF Expo.

Also got a couple of the Kreo-O microchangers there (Galvatron and Waspinator), NT$149ea. Anyone needing the codes to tell which is which can pm me, or if you are going to the expo (you can go into the buying section without having a ticket for the expo) they have them bundled in packs of 6 for the complete set. If you only want select ones, then some of the workers know the codes also!

Also at the expo, TFPrime Silas Breakdown and Nemesis Prime.

Yep, just saw those today at Toys R Us (NanJing DongLu branch ), and now some wave 2 deluxes as well.
-Out of the Cyberverse Legion Wave 1 (Airachnid, Bumblebee, Smokescreen, Twinstrike) only saw Smokescreen and Bumblebee. As well as Breakdown with Apex Armor and Smokescreen with Sky Claw vehicles.
-Cyberverse Commander Wave 1 (Bulkhead, Optimus, Predaking) - saw them all.
-Deluxe Wave 1 (Bumblebee, Lazerback, Soundwave w/Ravage, Wheeljack) - saw them all.
-Deluxe Wave 2 (Bulkhead, Ripclaw, Smokescreen, Starscream) - saw Bulkhead and Starscream only
-Voyager Wave 1 (Optimus, Predaking) - saw both.

    Also Bot Shots!
    -new Optimus and Bumblebee launchers
    -Stunticons 5-pack
    -Polar Assault team 5-pack
-3-packs Wave 1 (Cliffjumper flip, Brawl flip, Dirt Boss) & (Bumblebee jump, Shockwave jump, Skyquake) - saw both packs
-Wave 1 (Bumblebee flip, Ironhide spin, Shockwave jump, Sunstorm) - saw all, bought a Sunstorm

It's been a while since I've been to Toys R Us. Not sure how long this stuff has been out, but if they're at one then they're at every T'r'U

Hi, I will be visiting Taiwan soon and will just like to know if there's any place to get transformers toys, especially the vintage ones.

    Thanks!

Vintage stuff might be hard to come across, but there are loads of places that have new stuff and some places have older figures going back to Animated. When are coming to Taiwan and where will you be staying?

I haven't seen too many G1 stuff unless you count reissues. You might find random encore reissues in dept store from time to time. Third party items are a bit cheaper here for the most part. TFC items are cheaper than the States, but the newly release Sixshot is about the same. Btw, not too many stores carry third party items in store. I mainly look for them online through taiwan yahoo auction or ruten auction. Is there anything in particular you are eyeing? Maybe I can keep an eye out for you.

Hi, thanks for the info. I will be keen on TFC Uranos if they are available for decent prices. Don't mind browsing around specialty stores for other toys like Lego or gundams as well, if there are any concentration of these shops in Taipei.

    Thank you!

I saw a whole set of Uranos including the wing pack for around $400. Don't buy Lego in Taiwan. They are a lot more expensive than the US. A lot more. Gundams are cheap here. Taipei Underground Market has a sections with hobby/toy shops. They carry mostly Gundams, anime figures, and die-cast cars. There are 2 stores that carry a pretty big transformers selection but all new stuff. Ximending shopping dist. has a building where they have a floor full of hobby shops (well, used to be full), I personally don't think this place is worth your time anymore. There's only around 4-5 shops now and prices are not that cheap. Prices depend on demand. All in all, Takara TF are going to be cheaper than the US, but Hasbro ones you should just get at home. Save some room for Gundams if you are planning to buy them. The boxes are getting wider and wider, 3 or 4 of them will take up almost a full suitcase.

Another good area is near Q-square (across the street from Taipei Main Station). There's a street nearby that has a few shops that have a good selection of new and older stuff. Also, if you don't mind a short train ride, there's a shop in Shulin near the train station that usually has some decent Transformers and a ton of Gundam for excellent prices. Shoot me a PM when you know when you're coming and I'd be more than happy to take you around to some places.

jam, where did you see Uranos? I've only seen third party stuff at two shops, one of which closed down.

Hi Jam, ya, where was the Uranos set at? Sounds like a great price, will definitely pick it up when I'm there.

The Gundams sound tempting, I dig them but I just don't have the time to build them. This trip might just be a start. haha.

Hi rob_charb, thanks for the update as well, sounds good since I'm staying within walking distance of Taipei Main Station. Will definitely check out Q-square.

Thanks for the offer to bring me around, really appreciate it but it's a family trip and I don't think my wife will be too pleased for me to wander off without her and my son.

Rob, ty once again for ur tip last year. Is the Taipei Underground Mall, Y15-Y20
exit, still alive with robot shops?

Dew, I started my SoC collection back in TUM last year. IIRC, lots of the stores are set-up to be consignments. Pricing on official TF's from consignment sellers weren't great and they were not carrying 3rd party. For 3rd party, you'd need to go to the mfg source in HK/Shenzhen. Have a great trip!
