I'm heading to Hsinchu Taiwan next couple of weeks. Any recommendation which stores to visit? I am collecting mostly 3rd party, Masterpiece, and also hot toys figures.

I'm heading to Taipei Taiwan. Are the recommendations by prime roller still valid? are there any new stores that pop up?

合川 (Hechuan, aka Daming) just got a ton of The Last Knight boxes in yesterday.
    -Tiny Turbo Changers series 1
-deluxe wave 1 -- Barricade, Bumblebee, Berserker, Slash
-voyager wave 1 -- Grimlock, Optimus

Wasn't paying attention to things like 1-Step Turbo Changers or Knight Armor Turbo Changers but they probably have wave 1 of each.

Was at the 新生玩具反斗城 (Xinsheng Toys R Us), the one near 中山捷運站 (Zhongshan MRT) today.
    Posted my sighting pics here:
Newly released and upcoming toys: Hasbro edition

They have a huge and impressive The Last Knight movie toys display upstairs:

It's been 8 years since I last visited the fine country...

    ...& this thread. :p

I was told by some collectors in my country that Wan Nian no longer exist so did the toy merchants relocated elsewhere?

I'll be in Taipei couple of months from now so would like to get myself updated on "who's in business & who's not" just so that I don't end up wasting time for nothing.

Based on the previous posts, I would assume that the Underground Mall is still active as usual? DaMing is gonna get a definite visit from me (it's been 8 years since I last met them so time for some catch-up)

And how about Zhong Xiao area? Are those shops still operational? I've been to SOGO back then but I've no idea what to expect anymore.

If anyone has newer places to share, I'm all ears about those & I appreciates the kind gestures. :D

I have been looking for 3rd party transformers for a while in Taipei but haven't found much, Surprisingly you can find more transformers stores in Tainan than Taipei, that has been my experience at least. If anyone knows a place or places please let me know :)

Try Toys United Nations (玩具聯合國) in the Xizhi train station. He has loads of 3rd Party stuff for great prices. Got my FT Omega Supreme from him, amongst other stuff. Also, try Rud's Toys. Rud is a great guy to deal with.

If you don't mind a drive, you can try Cooltoy Planet in Zhongli. They have a crazy amount of stuff, some for great prices.

Do you live here or just visiting?

Unfortunately, a lot of those shops don't carry Transformers or a crazily over-priced. For Has/Tak stuff, your best bet is Rud's Toys. Rud is a great guy and has fair prices. For 3rd Party, Toys United Nations or Cooltoy are great. Rud also carries 3rd Party, but mostly the Legends-sized stuff and Maketoys.

For anyone looking to buy 3rd party or even MP stuff in Taiwan don’t bother looking for retail stores as they have nothing. Even Rud mentioned above does not have a store despite the address listed on his Fb page. Best to go to Shopee and search for what you want. Chinese ability may be needed though. You can order online then ship to Family Mart or 7-eleven where you can pick it up and pay (most may need cash).

Actually, both Toys United Nation and Cooltoy Planet have physical stores. Anderson at Toys United Nation has one of the largest selections of 3rd Party stuff around and is a good guy.

If you're going to go the Shopee route (which I often do), download the app. It has English language support. But if you're on a time crunch, Shopee isn't always your best bet.

I have been ordering from taobao and get my 3rd parties in 5-10 days I haven't had a problem "yet" with any of my orders. It is a little tricky to open an account but you can google how to do it.

I'll be visiting at the end of May for a day. Any places you all might suggest for finding a King of Beast voltron, or even the Lion Bot remake of the original?

That's pretty tough. Voltron is a bit of a hard find here. I can poke around though, see what's out there.

@Coldiron So far, all I've found are the Toynami Voltron, one Soul of Chogokin Voltron and the Playmates LD and Classic Voltrons.

By Lion Bot remake of the original, do you mean the old old one from when the cartoon came out?
