Chiang Mai Central Dept Store (Kad Suan Kaew) has those HUGE ULTIMATE CLASS transformers toys:

Ginormous Transformers Prime Beast Hunters ULTIMATE CLASS OPTIMUS PRIME with rotating 5 missiles AND Transformers Ultimate class PREDAKING.

These are massive.....at cost around 3500 baht ($USD100 +, GBP 75) Very expensive IMO.

Just by looking at the box, figures look really simplistic and plain...although I don;t doubt it would have great play value for kids as supposed to collectors.

Kre-O Micro Changers Series 3 has arrived in department stores.
EDIT: Also the first wave of Construct Bots.

BTW, still no sign of newer Generations toys on the shelf... (FOC Ruination wave and Trailcutter wave onward. Not even Springer and Blitzwing.) How depressing.

In Chiang Mai, there are loads more toy stores and departments now. Of note are Toys R us in Promenada mall.

Central Airport Chiang Mai has 50% off beast hunters line. Current Generations are in including the movie line. Seems pretty comprehensive and there are so many toys I can;t list them here. Of note are voyager generations whirls and blitzwing and doubledealer(?).

Kad Suan Kaew also have pretty much the same stock.

I haven't been to all other malls, but I think that for now Thailand seems to be getting huge stocks in and at least the first 2 maybe three waves of toys in.

Back in Chiang Mai now and headed to KadSuan Kaew/Central dept store.
A few Robots in disguise toys (i'm not familiar with these but i recognised a Windblade figure)

Picked up Quintus Prime (Bludgeon Pretender) and Solus Prime (Octopunch pretender) from the Power of the Primes line
These were 250Baht each which was great.
That was surprisingly it, but very happy to get these.

i suspect the other malls will have plenty and up to date lines

Hi there! I’m in Thailand for vacation this week and I was hoping to find some studio series figures somewhere.

I’ll be in Chiang mai tomorrow then Krabi for a few days then one last night in Bangkok (we were there for a couple days already but no time to find transformers).

Any advice would be awesome thanks!

Hi! I'm going to Chiang Mai next week too. I collect Masterpeice and KO's- did you find any good places? Or even is it a good idea to get stuff sent to the hotel from good online resellers?
    cheers!

Sorry not really. There are a couple of big malls there but I didn't find much when I was there. Your best bet is the mall near the airport, which I didn't have time to go to.

Central Kad Suan Kaew in Chiang Mai had two very cool leader class studio series figures....

Jetfire and Megatron DOTM... THB 2,750. I've downsized but these looked great and are tempting. IMG_20190622_194311.jpg IMG_20190622_194317.jpg

Edit: and at Suvanabhumi Airport duty free, although price is curiously the same....

    Hello!

I'm another person who will be visiting Thailand in soon as my gf is traveling back home there for a couple of weeks. Home town first, but we'll primarily be in bangkok. I have no idea if this is even a thing, but are there any shops at all that sell third party transformer figures from China, or is it primarily/only mainline Hasbro/Takara items that are usually found? I read the mall near the airport is good, but I was curious if anyone carries anything outside of the official lines, and if so the best spots to look.

    Toys R Us at ICONSIAM.

They were also unboxing Voyager Primes and Primals (!!!) as I left.

If you know how to convert Baht to USD, you'll notice things are EXPENSIVE here.

Thank you for the pics and locations!

Yes, I have an excellent idea for conversion from USD to Baht, and I expected regular line figures to be much more expensive so wasn't intending on getting anything official, so those numbers don't really surprise me. I was looking more towards third-party items and what they might run over there--if there were any spots that concentrate more on that. I've actually already been and come back (though definitely going again either next year or after). Really was a fantastic experience! Food, sites, everything!

I did go to the Mega Plaza, and while it was mostly the same knock-offs at each store (regarding anything I might be interested in), it was still a pretty cool place. Lots of older figures on display as well. There were a handful of Wei Jiang items that I already had, and their prices weren't too bad. I also think I may have gone a touch too early and maybe should have gone a bit later when more stores had opened. Maybe next time I can find something more third-party specific, but it's nothing I'm expecting.
