this thread is really alive   i really hope the MP Starscream's at TRU hang on a bit more! i cant afford it yet, i hope it doesnt sell out like it probably will, lol...btw, is it takara's MP or Hasbro? if takara, im guessing its the new G1 paint one, right?

 

I have a Detolf Shelf too! But it is HARDLY sufficient!  

I bought a loose G1 Metroplex off eBay some time back. I paid quite a reasonable price for it but now looking at the quality of some KOs I wonder if I've been duped. Maybe I'll post up some pics of him soon and you guys could maybe help me and see if you spot any telltale signs of it being a KO?

As for TFU Prowl and Sunstreaker, I think you should take your time, there seems to be an OVERSTOCK of them everywhere. Who knows, maybe TRU will have a $16.90 special for them real soon like they did for the Movie Line  

Haha, possibly? I don't hang around the shop much though. The only time I really browse is when the owner comes back from his Japan trips. I get most of my preorders from RC, and the stuff they don't bring in I get from TFH. Are you an employee there by any chance?

Have not sighted those 2 Legends class figs yet, will give a report if I do. I wonder why they are called "Legends" though, they're so SMALL!

 

It's Hasbro's MP-S'scream. the color scheme is the same as Takara but the only difference is Hasbro's one has more paint weathering & washes effect to it, while the Takara's one is the "clean" version. (i just can't understand Hasbro's obssesion with the tough & rugged paint weathering look, just like what they did with their MP-Prime)

Btw Heshan you don't have to worry abt it, i dun think it will sell-out anytime soon. also since you're living in the eastern side maybe you might like to check out TRU @tampines. ask them when will this promo ends.

 

I'm not sure how long it'll last, because it is listed as a "Jul-Aug STAR Promotion", and it's already the 29th of August!  

It's the Hasbro one and is considered part of the "Classics" line and has the Classics-themed packaging, it is labelled as "Masterpiece Starscream" and comes in G1 Colours with Battle Damage I think. And I don't think it'll sell out, stocks are still easily available at most TRU outlets.

 

Yeah i'm hopping for that too b'coz i remember awhile back sometime last year, when there were an overstock of TF movi figs. places like Metro were giving 20% off every TF items. hmm so who knows eh...

That's about a fair price yeah. I got mine slightly cheaper cause TFH normally gives you a few dollars off if you purchase 2 or more. I bought Ultra Class Onslaught and Powerglide for I forget how much, was trying to find my email / receipt but couldn't   I think should've been around S$110 - S$115 for both.

I even got a Hasbro cardboard box which they shipped the Ultra Class toys in.

 

Btw, heshanj, where pray tell did you buy your TFA Blitzwing from? I think I am finally going to cave-in and buy some TFA toys, but ONLY the ones I like!!

 

Hmm..if i'm not wrong maybe he might've get it either from TFH or one of his "Evilbay sources". just wait for his reply.

 

I saw Animated Blitzwing in package at Rapdiculture. They got Grimlock, Prime and Magnus as well. I'm suprised you didn't notice it when you picked up your encore seekers.

Haha! You're absolutely right! I did a search of my email and they actually had a restock of TFA Blitzwing on 23rd Aug (last Sat). Called RC and reserved me a TFA Blitzwing.

Did not notice it as, like I said, I'm not into the TFA line. But I think I will make exceptions for a few and only a few(!) figures!

I just came back from PP, i m depressed, no powerglide, jus 3 silverbolts and onslaughts... What happened to them?????? Why are they gone!!!!

Dun worry bro they'll be restocked sooner or later. it's still early in the TFU line, even some major dept stores in the city area haven't bring them in yet (i.e Metro @paragon).

 

Awesome indeed, but I really do not want to get into the TFA line. A friend of mine picked up the TFA OP Vs Megs 2-pack and I was greatly tempted (2 figures + a DVD for S$49.90 is a good deal I think!) but I am still holding out. I just picked up my TFA Voyager Blitzwing from RC! Last piece!!   I'm transforming him around now as we speak.

His bio is hilarious, they mention that he occasionally transforms into tank mode from his jet mode while in the air and crashes. WTH  

Oh dear, it's the other way round at Taka! I was in town earlier this evening and gave Taka a quick once over and happy to tell you there were about 5 pieces of Powerglide, and about 3 Onslaughts on the shelves. But no sign of Silverbolt.

rapidculture...they had a stock a while back and i reserved one immediately 
the store says theyre open at 1245pm so i was there exactly at that time, but had to wait til 1:30pm before they finally opened lol...blitzwing cheered me up after that though.....hope u find him soon

I'm overall quite pleased with TFA Blitzwing. I'm a sucker for Decepticon triple changers, and his revolving faces reminds me of none other than the Quintessons!
