No HK sightings at all? Well, I'll be the first.

    Citistore in Yuen Long has...

    Animated
    Activator Lockdown
Deluxe Soundwave, Snarl, Oil Slick. (I didn't look too hard at the deluxes)
Leader Bulkhead, Ultra Magnus (so close to getting him, but he had slight chest damage)
    Voyager Cyb Megs, Starscream, Lugnut

    Universe
Heroes, quite a selection, but I didn't take note.
    Voyager Dropshot, Heavy Load
    Ultra Silverbolt

And a bunch of old Titaniums. Not much, but tomorrow I should be hitting Mong Kok, the shopping centre of HK.

Much carnage should ensue... here's hoping!

    Current release in HKG?

Your sightings report sounds just like what we have over in Canada as well. So don't tell me HKG has not had any new stuff either?

Let me know if there are new stuff, i have a friend over there now on vacation. maybe he can help me grab stuff before hand.

    Thanks

    Hi folks of HK!

" Lei Dei Hou Ma?" (Hoped that I got that right in asking how are you guys)

I'm hitting HK in another 2 months time so I'll be scouting for TFs to purchase. Been a year since I last visited (come October) & I remember Mongkok's CTMA.

Cluster of toyshops found from basement all the way to 2-3 storey. (I think) Used to have more (till 6-7 storey) but seems like most have folded/shifted since. :rolleyes2

I missed Suger Street the last time round. Heard that there's some decent toyshops along that stretch but I do not know if those carries TFs or not. Can anyone verify??

TRUs are MUST VISITS since they always have TFs up for CLEARANCE! :ev:

Did I missed out anywhere good for TFs hunting? Kindly advise as I'm looking forward to fill up those travelling bags/luggages. :lol

Check out the auctions in Yahoo Hong Kong also. They have often quite a large selection of TF Goodies ranging from rare G1 to recent stuff.

The beauty is that they are often located inside Toy Stores in HK anyway. Just find out which store, take a copy of the info and go there and buy it.

Even if you can't read Chinese it is usually decipherable.

I've recently picked up RID Prime & Magnus; RID Build King; RID Gigatron; Lio Convoy; Armada Tidalwave & Megatron; Magmatron and some others most of which were very reasonably priced.

I live in HK so if you have any questions let me know.

Someone to my rescue FINALLY!

Ok, another 2 more months & I'll be there in HK so I need to know the toy shops that's located on the island. As per my quote above, I'd been to CTMA building so are there any other toy shops selling TFs? Best for me if you could point me in the correct direction so that I know just where to hit when I'd touched ground.

Any prominent toy shops in HK that really sell TFs? Any clusters? (As in you start hitting one particular street & you find a stretch of hobby shops lining along the pathway or something)

Asking because the last time I was there, (which was last year) I saw these shops selling Gundams & pretty much everything else except TFs. :redface2:

Would really appreciate your kind assistance so as to make this upcoming trip an equally memorable one. :D

I know alot of good places and given the volume that is on Yahoo Auctions over here it would be easy to go home with a wealth of TFs.

Causeway Bay has quite a few TF shops, Wanchai also, Mong Kok/Ya Mau Tei also has large scale toy malls.

PM me and I can provide you more info.

I recently found a motherload for anyone who is looking for TF's in HK.

I found a big warehouse that's open to the public that contains all major franchises. It's kind of like Pirates of the Caribbean where no-one can find the "Isla de morto" except those who know the way.

This place has loadsa TF's from G1 to recent lines you name is BW, BM, Unicron Trilogy lines etc all for cheap.

For a reference point I got hold of a MISB Armada Demolishor for approx US$14 which ain't too bad considering the age of the line. Comparable prices can be found for all lines and there are loads other places to go in HK.

I have two additional MISB Armada Demolishors available for anyone who visits HK and wants to put one in the collection.

    Cheers.

    Great score there! :thumbs2:

Was wondering if you can come out with a list or something? I reckoned that these would all be gone by the time I reach HK. Still another 1 & a half months more to go. (Time is certainly crawling! :cry )

Lists are tough to compile because as you rightly guessed things change frequently.

The best thing to do is to make a list of what you would ideally like to get and let me know. If you really wanted to secure some items we could arrange something via PM.

In the last few months I've managed to get for between US$10 and US$15 the following:

    Armada Megatron MISB
    Energon Tidal Wave MISB
Armada Wheeljack with Starsabre team MISB
Armada Smokescreen, Perceptor, Hotshot, Demolishor MISB

I've also managed to get hold of, for varying prices:

    Armada Prime MIB
    Energon Megatron MIB
    RID Magnus MISB
    and many more.

If you want to lock down items ahead of your visit you should let me know what you are looking for. I check fairly regularly and can scout for you.

The one items I regret passing up on was a MISB Armada Jetfire!!

Please tell me that your newly-found "Treasure Island" is still open for business. :lol

So have you been there lately? Any pieces worth mentioning? :)

I am from Singapore as well and will be at HK from 20th Sept onwards... Been doing some research and seems that there are a few clusters in the Mongkok/Tsim Sa Tsui area as well as Sham Shui Po area? R those in Sham Shui Po worth visiting? I am staying in the Jordan area so thats quite out... Your new found cove seems pretty interesting.. care to shed some light as to where it is? :D

Argh! WHY did I even type "August" in the first place??? :confused2

My bad there, its October 28 instead, NOT August.

Heard from ki the King that you're hitting HK in a group of 6 so HOW are you gonna start looking for toys??

You gonna ditch your crew in Lantau Island or what? :ev:
