CW Ultra Magnus was in ToysRUs Causeway Bay today... was a bit shocked given everything else on the shelves was OLD.

Also had kreon warriors collection 2, although noticeable that their Kre-o section is all but gone and they only have really old stock left... nothing new. I'm guessing this is the end of Kre=o being stocked at Toys'R'Us in HK...

Available today here: Tak Tomy MP-10 reissue and this guy...

I got both of mine in Wan Chai.
Have to say Trypticon is LOADS of fun. :)

MP-10 also comes with the coin which I wasn't expecting.
    I've finally got my Hasbro/Tak-Tomy MP-10 set. ;)

    Good find.

    How much was Trypticon?

List price was $1299 but I got him for $200 cheaper than that as they had quoted something less and were reasonable enough to stay true to the initial quote.

Now I wish we'd just find out when Devy hits the stores as my son is driving me batty with his daily nagging.

I've seen Trypticon since for around the price you mentioned.

Question how is he in hand? Compared to legends or the like? Build quality too.

He's super easy to transform from base to t-rex and back. Loads of fun. I love his walking motion... There's something about it compared to other moving toys that makes you take notice of him as his stomping motion is quite pronounced. My 8 year old has played with him every day since we got him and so I'm inclined to say he's pretty sturdy as he's been transforming him between his modes without complaint, assistance or breakage. I'm happy with his build and quality personally.

My biggest complaint is the sticker application. Stickers are pre-applied and not necessarily well done. I would have preferred a sheet we could apply the stickers ourselves. He doesn't scale well unless you use the legion sized figures, but I guess asking for a titan trypticon is probably too much of an ask. ;)

Aside from that, I have no complaints - I feel he was money well spent and I just need to figure out how I will display him when my son lets me have him back.

If you want to see some photos:
    https://www.flickr.com/photos/kiwiinoz/sets/72157652638696583
You can see his scale compared to a few other figures there.

I've never had the original so this is my first trypticon and I couldn't be happier, nor could my son.
I was at Mong Kok on Monday and he was $1299 there as well.
UW-01 is only around the $750 to $800 mark too... damn tempting...

I'm really hoping they release Devy here before ani-con since it seems he is now out on shelves in the USA as well.

Macau Ani Expo is on this week and I'm kind of contemplating whether it might be worth a look. Ever been? I'm wondering if they have anything different from the HK expos...

I might take a look then. I would be interested to have him in my legends collection.

Is transformation only 6 steps? As the box implies?

For his main body... I'd say yes only 6 steps (not that I've counted), but he has lots of "bits" that you attach to him for his base mode, which technically you could argue aren't steps but do add to the transformation time. He's got a couple of guns, radar dish/antenna's, cannons and his tank turns into a launch module. The other vehicle that comes with him - Full-Tilt - is a one step who also attaches to his chest in T-Rex mode. So he has a few little bits... whether you choose to use them though is entirely up to you.

Thanks for the update. He looks good and will probably look great as a legend battle station.

I'm just mindful that Devastator is very soon along with more Autobots.

Devastator up for pre-order on the HK Toys R Us website for HK$1599 with an August release.
Hasbro Transformer Generations Devastator | Toys"R"Us

I'm guessing he'll be the Ani-con "early" exclusive... really disappointing. :(

I ordered him for $300 less than that in Mong Kok so glad we're saving a little bit on him but he's more expensive here than Australia... go figure!!

Fingers crossed those several places include the one we placed our pre-order as that would make my son a VERY happy chap indeed. (I get nagged daily since he has seen the pics of people in Oz with theirs)

Spend over HK$300 at Toys R Us on RID2015 figures and get a free box set of RID2015 crayons/pastels while stocks last.

Mega Optimus Prime (RID2015) now in stock. He's the first RID toy I've brought for myself, although I will probably pick up the Tak Tomy TAV21 version as well...

Well i'm here so I wanted to thank you again for this!!:)

Sucks I only new about CTMA last time - Sino is loads better. Hot Toys secret base - wow!!

But In's Point is the place man - awesome!!! And finally just down the road to the new Action Robo location - best of all!!

Too much awesome stuff and I've picked up a couple of figures I had decided to pass on from the safety of my home, but couldn't resist after seeing them :)

Did you head to hobbybase on the 3rd floor of Sino too?

They aren't the cheapest, but they have quite an eclectic range of Transformers to browse through (and currently their Prime 1 Optimus riding Grimlock display is very impressive).

Glad you've had a great time (and successful purchasing) of your toy hunting escapades in our crazy city.

Any idea where I would be able to pick him up? I will be in HK for a week and I'm looking to hopefully get a Devy while I'm here :)

If you are here now you can get the SDCC version (metallic purple) from the ani-com in Wan Chai for HK$1799. Ani-com is on until Sunday (I just got back from it).

I have the regular version on pre-order but haven't had a call as of yet to pick him up.
Toys'r'Us aren't stocking him until August (at HK$1599).

Local places should be cheaper. I pre-ordered for just under HK$1300.

The SDCC version, in my opinion, isn't worth the price and is inferior to the retail version.

There are two options I think. Retail plus 3rd party add-ons or Takara version if you want the best possible Devy.

    I agree.
Devastator wasn't worth the extra $$... and yet he was flying out of the booth in peoples hands. We didn't purchase him.
I'm sceptical as to how the purple chrome will endure over time and it simply doesn't look as nice as the regular release.

We will wait for the call that our normal version is ready to pick up and enjoy that one.

We did pick up the Combiner Hunter girls - I'm really impressed with Arcee. For a Hasbro figure I actually think they did a nice paintjob! My daughter loves the set (she collects the fembots) and even wants to frame the leaflet/instructions that came with it.
