Not sure if anyone is interested but Silver Knight Optimus Prime is in stock at Sogo in Causeway Bay. There are a couple of different versions of him there. I am assuming he will pop up in other places too but this is the first I've seen of him in HK so far.

Which Silver Knight Prime is it?

Also in HK now are the AOE Japanese specials such as Soundwave, Wheeljack etc along with Snarl, Lockdown and so on.

There were 3 different ones at Causeway Bay Sogo.

They had silver knight optimus with grimlock, one of the large ugly ones that doesn't transform and what I think was a leader class... kind of looked like first edition only silver.

Not sure what they'd have in stock now as I'm realising how quickly Transformers stuff disappears off shelves here. *sigh*

Thanks, not all that interest in silver knight prime but am keeping an eye out for the AOE Wheeljack and Takara Lockdown.

By the way is Toyzone in Tai Koo worth a visit and do they sell to general public?

Trying to scope out a few more places to Transformer hunt here.
I'm on the hunt for an (reasonably priced) MP-10.

If I see either of them I'll let you know. I was in Sino on Saturday and they didn't have either there yet.

ToyZone used to be worth visiting - I honestly don't know if it still is.

Yes they sell to anyone who walks in.

MP-10 just order the upcoming Asia reissue. It's as cheap as we're going to get for some time.

Wanchai has some good TF spots, particularly Tai Yuen Street.

Yeah... I go to Tai Yuen St regularly. Unfortunately they seem to be quite clued in and pull the more popular stuff and price it up pretty quickly though.

The first shop on the left (when coming from MTR) know me by sight now. Heh!

Went to get a protoform prime and they wanted $400 for it the other day *gah*!

Hahaha. I know the one. PM me for exchanging shopping lists.

    They're rather sneaky there.

A better place is a few shops down on the left. It is hidden away slightly and often stocks JP TF's ahead of USA.

I can't remember the name of it but it is the 2nd of 3 shops on the left that always have Transformers.

Yeah - I realised that shop you mention further down was a better deal belatedly after getting a Generations Nemisis Prime and Cliffjumper at the first shop...

There is also a good shop right across from the one further down you mentioned that often has some older stuff. I picked up Encore Ironhide and Ratchet from them for a reasonable price.

I love that there are so many places over here to explore for TF stuff and that we can get both the Japanese and US releases (in most cases).

I'm relatively new to collecting so learning the hunt (and sussing out the real from the fake) is part of the fun for me.

A goldmine is HK Yahoo auctions. It requires a bit of navigation first but is very handy.

I don't read Chinese but I am always game to sift through Chinese websites (thankfully my husband can read traditional Chinese when I get really stuck).

Have you ever used taobao? I'm curious as to whether stuff on there is real or mostly fakes. I notice a few MP-10's on there at a reasonable price...

To be honest you don't need to know Chinese to use Yahoo auction. Just Google translate plus the majority of Transformer items are in English.

I have used Taobao and it's ok, another alternative is AliExpress.

I think it can be found somewhere in the HK$350-500 range.
