Anyone visiting HK, just got the CMTA or Ins point in the evening, especially on the weekend. That will cover most of your toy shopping there, and its all within Walking distance of each other. Of course there are other places, but it can sometimes be a chore to find them.

It is always good to explore the shops in HK but if you're absolutely set on finding something and it isn't in a shop, remember the HK online retailers who can deliver within 2 days.

I likely should had done that. I contacted a couple but they didn't reply until I left. Seems a bit of what I was looking for was not out quite yet. I did get some good finds though.

TRU, last time I looked, were out of stock of MP Soundwave.

Masterpiece (unless it is brand new) is a luck of the draw thing. Many places don't have that much in the way of MP and if they do they are price hiked.

As I always say, best thing for maximum results is the likes of RK or Chimungmung with local delivery (often next day - 48hrs).

TBH I haven't looked for that. I typically go hunting with a specific list.

Apart from RK and Chimungmung, yahoo auctions HK also have decent pickings. Just use Google translation to make it easier to use.

    Hi Guys

Here are some of the Voltron. Left one is the old original one and right one is the new style anniversary edition

Also do you know if the Transformer prices are similar in Hong Kong and Taiwan? Was thinking to get all from Hong Kong and not bother with Taiwan and just go for a visit etc

    Thanks again all

You should get them all in Hong Kong. Prices for transformers are a lot cheaper in Hong Kong. The vintage Voltron prices could vary from different seller. But brand new Transformers are cheaper in Hong Kong.

    Glad to help.

And what Jam said is spot on. All I ever hear from my friends in Taiwan is the crappy prices compared to HK on most things.

BUT if you do get a chance to go to Taiwan do go as it is a great place to visit anyway.

My final tip is that both RobotKingdom and Chimungmung are HK based so you could check their prices before hand and get next day delivery.

Also Yahoo Hk auctions are an indispensable guide to what just landed etc.

No problem, any help for a fellow board member.
Taiwan prices are pricey compare to HK's. For example, the new car masterpieces are around 40-45 dollars when released in HK. They are 60 here in Taiwan. It's still cheaper than the states, but when you have the options of getting them from HK, do it. RobotKingdom and Chimungmung are good price gauge, local HK prices are usually a bit cheaper than what they charge.

You can get them but they are hit and miss.

Best place to check are yahoo auctions, RK and Chimungmung.

Checked our a place that had a few Masterpieces in a mall close to Nathan street. Superman Toys and I forget the name of the other place. Seemed nice. I'm hoping to find those hole in the wall toy shops but no such luck yet.
