Went to TOY VAULT in RI Mall, they have a ton of Transformers stuff here's a list of most noteable

Amoung many G1 toys they had...

    1 Grimlock
    2 Slag
    1 Ultra Magnus
1 Bruticus complete (didn't note if it included all gun accessories)

They also had a decent collection of BWs

    1 MSIB Rinox
    1 IB Rampage

They had a ton of energon stuff including a loose Megatron, Galvatron, OP and a MSIB Ironhide

Finally, they had plenty of busts including Shockwave, Devastator, and I beleive some of the Insecitcons.

Oh and they also had a Laser Optimus Prime import

Bump to keep this on the first 3 pages >.>

Toy Vault remains the best place for 2nd Hand stuff.

Newbury Comics (Warwick and PVD Place Mall) has Revoltechs.

Target in Warwick has movie Target exclusives.... if anyone cares.

Walmart in center of new england has Cliffjumper if anyone's looking for him. Also I believe I saw the orange and white repaint of Blackout and the Nightwatch Optimus Prime, not exactly positive about those two but I believe I did see them. I never knew Newberry Comics sold MP figures, is this a rare thing or does this happen often Blaster?

First and foremost, when it comes to what they sell, Newbury comics is just that "comics". It's like a comic/collectibles/music store all rolled into one.

Newbury comics usually sells the big expensive domestic & imported transformers like Masterpiece, Encore, Re-Issues, etc, domestic $20 & ^up figures along with Japaneses trading figures and gashapons.

They really don't sell much mainstream Hasbro u.s.a. stuff that often, as they usually have only wave 1 or 2 or whatever new line Hasbro is pushing (armada, energon, cybertron, classics, movie). They do not carry later waves, but they do carry other transformers items such as board games (monopoly, risk, etc) and other transformers-related items made by other companies such as Basic Fun KeyChains.

In short, they usually have and carry more Takara-related Transformers merchandise than they do Hasbro, and anything Hasbro-wise is usually the big expensive figures.

I only go to newbury's to buy Japanese trading & gashapon figures, microman figures, gundam, godzilla, stikfas, and anything else that may interest me.

But be warned, Newbury's can be pricey depending on what the said item is that you are buying. Gold coin and McQuarrie Star Wars figures will cost a way lot more than the regular Star Wars figures they sell, so it's more like buying from a comic shop or a "god damn scalper." But sometimes they have really good deals on stuff. So it's really hit or miss.

I can confirm that they still have Wave 1 at the TRU in Warwick however the Walmart next to it in the Rhode Island mall does not have any Animated toys as of right nnow. Anyone from Rhode Island who wants them should hit up that TRU before the general public probably fully catch on, we don't know how hard these will be to find once it gets out that they are at mass retail and the holiday season starts rolling around in fall.

    Not Anymore. :(  I didn't find one.

    Target in Warwick:

1 animated Deluxe Optimus, 1 Animated Deluxe Prowl, 2 Animated Voyager Starscreams, 3 Animated Voyager Megatrons, 1 Animated Voyager Bulkhead, 5 Animated Deluxe Prime/Megs DVD 2-Packs.

1 really crappy Premium Jazz, 2 Premium Ironhides.

    ToysRus in Warwick:

Animated BumbleBee, Prowl, Cybertron Prime, Lockdown, Ratchet, Blackarachnia, Cybertron Megs, Starscream, Bulkhead, LUGNUT, & Prime/Megs DVD 2-Packs.

Sorry, they did NOT have any Voyager Primes or Grimlocks. :(

    5 Premium Leader Megatrons.

    1 voyager Ratchet. He's old.

    --------------------------------------------------

    I went home empty handed.:(

I just can't justify buying the Animated figures. They all were poorly painted and the more I look at them, the more they seem like Playskool Transformers.
I REALLY, REALLY, want to like them, but they all seem too "kiddie-ish" for me.

Oh well, maybe in time I'll warm up to them...or just spend my money on Universe!

    No hard feelings,

I ended up finding 2 Voyager Primes today at another store, but I still passed on them both.

They were a bit sloppy looking paint-wise, but I know that eventually, I will buy him.

If I could only choose 1 Animated toy to buy that is out right now, it would be Voyager Prime. I like him the best.

TRU in warwick is still stocked with what was mentioned above by netkid (all on an end cap) Also tons of left over movie toys and premium figures in the regular TF aisle.

Any Premium Bee's and Jazz's? All the ones I've seen so far have looked terrible.

Barricade, on the other hand has been looking great, I got one for myself.

While we are talking tf's, anyone know where I can get a MISB Leader-Class movie Prime (non-premium)?

I want to get him and the Takara Premium version. I don't like Hasbro's Premium Prime at all.

I would have bought a Leader Prime a long time ago, but between Botcon in Rhode Island, the movie's success, and the christmas shopping season, I haven't seen him in stores since june 2007.

well, i drove to the targets in warwick, seekonk, north attleboro & lincoln. warwick & seekonk had the quickly emptying end caps, the seekonk one did have 1 grimlock as of a few hours ago, as well as 2 lugnuts, and screamer, megs & voyager OP too. neither north attleboro or lincoln had squat.

the walmart supercenter in coventry had a middle aisle thing with 2 sides filled with all wave 1 & 2 stuff. i didn't see any grimlocks or lugnuts though... they did have plenty of BAs & ratchets plus the others for wave 1 deluxes.

i wonder when the wave 3 will get here???
