bad news. i took that scan number to the warwick target and had a stock boy see if they more deluxes other than the three on the pegs. it showed there being more, so i gave him my list with wave 3 names on it, and he was super sweet and went in back to see if they were there. he came back several minutes later with nothing. he said there were more in back they hadn't put out, but none of them were the wave 3 ones. so even if that supposed big sale on transformers deluxes happens on sunday, it seems like at least for that target there won't be any of the wave 3 ones there for it.   i mean, maybe by some stroke of luck they will get more in, but seeing as they seem to already be holding back stuff it seems unlikely...

 

Doh. Thanks for saving me the trip this afternoon anyway. Might still check out the sale, but I don't think my boyfriend's getting up for opening now.

 

If you can, would someone be kind enough to check for a few LEGO sets while they are out searching for new Transformers?

The first 4 I've listed have had me been running around like a nut trying to find them.

For the first 4 sets, I've already checked very recently, the Target stores in Smithfield and Warwick, and the ToysRus in Warwick, but not the Wal-Mart in Warwick. I have also checked ALL the Kmart stores in Rhode Island and Massachusetts as well.

Just so you know, the rest of the Target, Wal-Mart and ToysRus stores I need to check.

The usual toy run (TRU/Walmart/Target) turned up nothing new, except to note there's a classics Starscream at toy vault priced $21.99

 

How is Toy Vault? Is it worth driving from CT? Do they have any Henkei Transformers?

 

If you are going to make a trek, go to the one in North Attleboro @ the Emerald Square Mall (Second Floor, near Sears).

That one always gets the best stuff in because of it's location, and usually get new stuff in as well.

I do not think they would have the Henkei figures. Heck, I can't think of any place that would have them, other than online retailers.

But it's worth a shot to still try Toy Vault in North Attleboro, they usually have a good selection of stuff.

It's thanks to them that I've been able to find rare figures and complete certain parts of my collection.

They also show up to Botcon every year or two. They were present at the 2008 Botcon.

On the topic of Toy Sightings, Warwick ToysRus and Target have nothing new. They have remnants of premium figures, and animated.

TRU:
No voyager Grimlocks or Primes.
TRU does have voyager Lugnuts, Megatrons, and Starscreams.
All animated deluxes up to wave 2.
Deluxe Prime/Megs DVD 2-Pack.
Premium Megatrons.

Target:
1 crappy Premium Jazz.
2 voyager Cybertronian Megatrons.
Deluxe Prime/Megs DVD 2-Pack.
2 Deluxe Animated Prowl.

However, the Animated Voyagers seem to be disappearing fast. As the stores only had 1-2 of each character I mentioned that is available.

If they can, would someone heading towards Warwick be a saint and do me the favor of checking the Warwick Wal-Mart for the LEGO sets I listed ^above?

I was going to go tonight, but I had to take my little cousin to see WALL-E. Phenominal movie by the way, my favorite Animated film I have ever seen. 5 Stars! ***** DON'T MISS IT! You'll be sorry!

Warwick Target: Not much new. TFA Prowl, Grimlocks and 2 packs. Same movie stuff.

Warwick Kohls: Movie Stealth Premium Bumblebees and Premium Jazz.

Warwick TRU: Previously reported stuff, plus grimlocks and exclusive mudflaps and infernos in the aisle.

Warwick Newbury Comics: Encore Jazz for $50, hidden behind a bunch of robot heroes (right wall).

North Kingstown Walmart: Nothing to report, the usual can be found here.

Sadly no wave 3 or leaders.

ToyVault in North Attleboro also only has one Henkei Astrotrain.

He is in dark gray animation colors.

^Is that the E-Hobby exclusive one? My memory is fuzzy.

 

alrighty kids, i drove to every single target within the rhode island/near mass area this morning. interestingly, at the seekonk one there was 1 oilslick (which i bought)and when i asked the stock guy said it was put out this morning including the others, but by 9:30 (when i got there) they were all gone. i am not sure what that means, if they got a case and a scalper took them all? or if they only 1 each of wave 3 and someone else got the other 3 designs. this might mean that in the coming days the other targets will get a handful too...not sure what to make of it really...so here is the rundown:

Target Seekonk -- had 1 wave 3 but i bought it, sorry.
Target Warwick -- grimlock & lugnuts on the endcap, nothing else worth mentioning though
TRU Warwick -- wave 1 & 2 on the endcap. Also, they had 1 inferno that was a movie TRU exclusive toy, it looked kinda cool, but i didn't buy it. maybe someone else was looking for it...
Target Smithfield -- 1 grim 2 lugnuts, wave 1 only.
Target Lincoln -- nothing! wave 1, but not put out.
Target North Attleboro -- Nothing! just tfa wave 1 on the pegs, and a voyagers on the endcap. there were also a couple of the stealth bbs from the movie.
TRU North Attleboro -- wave 1 & 2 on the endcap, nothing else interesting...

save your gas guys unless you saw something i listed as worth getting... also, i did basically harass a stock person at every target, so this was an exhaustive search. no stone was left unturned, i promise!

 

Animation colors is the standard for the henkei release of the astrotrain classics mold.

TRU in warwick has leaderclass megatron & bulkhead.   they also put out some universe legend toys...which means the deluxe can't be too far behind!

i also checked seekonk target and they looked in back, no wave 3.   oh well...and the walmart in seekonk has nothing new at all.

 

yay!!! there are universe classics 2.0 @ the warwick TRU! get them quick!!! there were 2 of each when i left.

also, the TRU in north attleboro had the tfa activators if anyone was looking for those. a ton of bbs, and then starcream & bulkheads.

both the TRU in north attleboro & warwick have leader class megs & bulkhead now too!

 

Warwick Target has 2 voyager primes left, mixed in with the voyager bulkheads and starscreams.

 

THEY ARE ALL GONE!   I did not find a single one.

They also, are all gone.

Warwick TRU has Marvel Crossovers Transformers.

They have tons of Hulk, Spider-Man, & Venom, but only 1 Iron Man. 

 

i'm sorry dude. such screwy distribution! i wish they would get it together! i have checked the seekonk & warwick targets everyday this week. NOTHING of wave 3, and in fact, there was only 1 dlx out in seekonk. they did have 2 voyager primes though... and warwick had 2 voyager lugnuts.

where's wave 3?? get here already!! this is like torture!

 

Ah don't worry, I know I'm not worrying. I think my post may have been taken as an overreaction.

I don't chalk it up to poor distribution, unless you NEVER see it, as was the case with Masterpiece Starscream in Rhode Island.

I usually pin the blame on high demand, short supply, and not getting to the sighting first or soon for that matter.

I can wait. I'm in no rush for new Transformers.

 

i am not really in a rush, so much as i just want to get a jazz figure! he looks so awesome...

i just checked the seekonk target again, nothing. in fact, not a single tfa dlx is out. i did find it interesting that the real gear, cyber slammers, and fast action battle ones were all on clearance...maybe they are making room for a reset... *fingers crossed*

 

Warwick TRU still has activators (SS, BB, Bulky) and leftovers previously mentioned, nothing super desirable.

Warwick Target has nothing new.

Warwick (RI Mall) Walmart has NOTHING released in the past 3 months.
