Also I believe I saw the orange and white repaint of Blackout and the Nightwatch Optimus Prime, not exactly positive about those two but I believe I did see them. I never knew Newberry Comics sold MP figures, is this a rare thing or does this happen often Blaster? |

It's like a comic/collectibles/music store all rolled into one.
Newbury comics usually sells the big expensive domestic & imported transformers like Masterpiece, Encore, Re-Issues, etc, domestic $20 & ^up figures along with Japaneses trading figures and gashapons.
They really don't sell much mainstream Hasbro u.s.a. stuff that often, as they usually have only wave 1 or 2 or whatever new line Hasbro is pushing (armada, energon, cybertron, classics, movie). They do not carry later waves, but they do carry other transformers items such as board games (monopoly, risk, etc) and other transformers-related items made by other companies such as Basic Fun KeyChains.
In short, they usually have and carry more Takara-related Transformers merchandise than they do Hasbro, and anything Hasbro-wise is usually the big expensive figures.
I only go to newbury's to buy Japanese trading & gashapon figures, microman figures, gundam, godzilla, stikfas, and anything else that may interest me.
But be warned, Newbury's can be pricey depending on what the said item is that you are buying. Gold coin and McQuarrie Star Wars figures will cost a way lot more than the regular Star Wars figures they sell, so it's more like buying from a comic shop or a "god damn scalper." But sometimes they have really good deals on stuff. So it's really hit or miss. WANTED: The Rooster Hat from Scribblenauts(Special Pre-Order item). *IF anyone's EB Games/Gamestops have leftover hats that no one picked up & can get me 2-(even if you must buy the game twice) then PM me ASAP! |
