I've been thinking she was a very good candidate for Cadet myself.

It looks like something I'm not going to enjoy very much considering a preferred the dark edge of TF-Prime to the more humorous and light hearted. Animated.

Anyway, I'm guessing the orange wheeled robot is Fixit and he/she's going to be limited to a base role rather than a combat role judging by the name Fix-it. I hope Skybite makes some sort of cameo or name drop purely because the new series is named after RID

 

It would be nice if they made the medic Red Alert style from Animated so we could get a toy if that.

 

I'm worried they won't feature any of the other surviving characters from Prime in the show, especially Ratchet who should technically appear since he's on Earth where RID is taking place.

 

I think we'll at least get a cameo for Ratchet. Sadly, I think his death might be what alerts them to the new Decepticon threat on Earth. As for others, I think there's a chance we'll see some of them. I think Ultra Magnus has a good chance of showing up, as well as Smokescreen, Shockwave, and Starscream (or his ghost).

Only characters I'm unsure of, and kinda worried about, are Airachnid and her army, and Predaking and the Predacons. Both seem like they would continue to be big issues for the Autobots, and with the new show mostly happening on Earth, I'm having a hard time seeing both groups making it into this.

That's a big call to make for as little information as we have.

Not even getting my hopes up for stuff like this, because it was evident with TFP that the creative team was so frustratingly hesitant to give so much as a continuity nod at any point in the series, namely with characters. (We got Tailgate and Seaspray, neither of whom had anything to do with anything). Needless to say, that led to a good number of eff-ups with the stupid "aligned" thing.

I doubt the show will be limited for its entire duration, to the inherently restrictive characters and settings of Earth. Unless of course, we get a cartoon that emulates its predecessor in being as slow and boring as tar.

 

I hope the new show won't be like Rescue Bots. Hasbro should stick to the same plan, and make two shows, one show that is made for kids, and another one like Prime with darker tone for older crowd

 

I feel like we should have Sludge as a Dinobot. AOE is the only Transformers movie to bring him back as "Slog" (is that right?) so it would be nice to see him.

Perhaps even Swoop as we need a flyer (knowing nothing of the Cadet)

Theiznosaurus (look it up. It is really cool)

Fixit as the Minicon, cool, they didn't make it specific that he was one but I guess that makes sense given his cutesy "mascot" character design.

Sideswipe's design is very reminiscent of Knockout given his color, car kibble, overall personality (vain and cocky), and little things like his spiky hair/helmet (Knockout's head is similar but the spikes are swept backward rather than forward). Sideswipe traditionally has a black helmet too compared to Knockout's red.

Now it would be awesome if Swipes turned out to be KO under a different name (similar to how Drift was once the Con known as Deadlock in IDW -- a lot of opportunities for drama and character development there) but somehow I don't think the writers are going to be that clever and throw us that much of a bone to push continuity with TFP/BH. It's nice to dream though.

Dinobot.... yeah, he'd most likely fill the role of big, strong guy in the same vein as Bulkhead.

Fembot as cadet (probably a serious by-the-books type of personality, methinks) makes sense too.

For the Cons, I really hope they bring in Barricade (bad cop character writes itself, especially when it comes to exciting car chase scenes). He had such a great Aligned character design that was wasted by him never showing up in Prime. Barricade also had a big role in the first WFC game so I'd like to see him have some sort of tie in with the video game and Aligned histories. Blitzwing and Brawl are also good candidates, I think.

I personally want to see Starscream return (it would answer the question as to his true fate back in Predacons Rising) as a recurring bad guy, possibly in a different, better body (his original Prime design looked decidedly taller, bigger, and deadlier than his actual Prime design, mirroring his Animated design more). Make him an actual threat to the Bots (both physically and strategically) for once. Maybe bring in Skywarp and Thundercracker too as his backup. Or even Slipstream to give a possible Windblade character (if the Auto fembot turns out to be a flyer) a decent rival.

 

I don't like the animation style, but I'm sure the story and characters will be fine.

Although I'm hating the design of Fixit!

 

If these are the final designs then the toys will likely have a lot of cheating going on. Fake chests etc.

I'm not saying that is a good or bad thing, just some thoughts on the very limited info we have.

 

Could the new faction of Decepticons be Renegade Decepticons?

 

Could be in the TFCC Magazine however they said that what happened to Soundwave can and could be a bit further explored.

I think that what might alert, the Autobots that something is wrong might be say a group of cons raiding the Space bridge, and opening it to the Autobots Base on Earth. Ratchet sneaks in a call as the Cons force him to open a ground bridge portal somewhere Random, detecting this the Autobots Warp there at the same time, resulting in a rift that frees Soundwave.

Soundwave then single handily kicks the afts of the Autobots, and then he ahs the cons destroy the space Bridge Controls on Cybertron and Earth *With the cons on Cybertron fleeing or getting captured* And they destroy Ratchets tools so the bots are stuck on Earth.

I'd also say that the humans return in some shape or form. Maybe even Jack and Miko taking Agent Folwers Place and Raf trying to help Ratchet.

As for Main COn cast I would like to see.

Going with the more *Very* little used Characters a bit here as the last use of Stockade was the 2007 movie line.

Also in the Art of Prime book, The orion Pax design for Optimus looks ALOTlike his "new" design for the show.

 

So... they couldn't think of a new subtitle to put on this cartoon? Are we going to have to start referring to the other RID series by it's Japanese name just to clarify which one we're actually talking about. It's bad enough that they've already used that for a toy line that has nothing to do with that series but at least with that there's no reason to actually call them RID toys when it's part of the Prime toy line. I believe they also used RID as the title for a comic book series which has nothing to do with the RID cartoon series. And I already get confused every time someone brings up that comic book because I keep thinking of the cartoon.

 

I don't recall all of the details but the writers did say that the next TF series will have some continuity from TFP.

Hopefully, we'll get some flashbacks from TFP members.

Autobots returning to Earth could be from Ratchet's plea for help or from one of the kids.

I don't want someone dying within the first couple series like Tailgate did.

I hope Barricade comes back as the main villain. To bring back that old rivalry  

 

I hope what happens to Megatron is explained. I was disappointed that he just flew off because he basically repeated the same ideals that he did when he started the whole thing, fighting oppression.

Here's a wild thought. It'd probably not happen, but doesn't change that I'd like it to. What if Megatron returns from his space journey as Galvatron? But not the Galvatron we're used to, crazy and unpredictable. Instead, he comes back as a Galvatron closer too his Shattered Glass interpretation, wise and compassionate, and becomes an ally to the 'bots when he needs to be, in Prime's absence. Showing that he really has reformed.

I know chances of that are slim, but I still like the idea if it did.

 

I think Galvatron already exists in Aligned as a separate character.

 

Well, he's only mentioned in the Covenant of Primus, they could easily create a new character over it, not the first time it happened. I'm just hopeful that a Galvatron shows up one point or another in this.
