I think Optimus and Ultra Magnus has a Adama-Saul Tigh command setup.

The big cheese is the beloved father to his men while the XO is the guy you hate but keeps you in line.

The problem is Ultra Magnus got too attached to the XO mindset. Thus not fit to lead Team Prime.

Smokescreen we've seen is the Heart of the team. This is why Optimus chose him to be the next Prime.

 

I'm really enjoying how Magnus plays by the rules a bit too much.

However, I think the end to episode 2 was a bit abrupt.

Only gotta wait about three weeks for episode 3 now!

 

You mean episode 4. 58 minutes that's three episodes already.

 

Was I the only one that felt really sorry for Predaking when Starscream was drawing attention to his failure at destroying the autobots?

 

Naw, I'm expecting Shockwave to use Screamer as a test subject because of it. Didja see how he treated Predaking like a pet?

As shown with Dreadwing Starscream doesn't know when to shut up. In fact Shockwave's whole "it's logical" on Starscream abandoning him I have a feeling Predaking is a way for him to get back at Screamer without being too obvious.

Tick him enough Predaking is going to eat Screamer.

I don't know why people are complaining about ShockWave entrance in this season.

I thought it was pretty good and summed up everything between Cliff/RC's escape and now.

Also who else would be scared if Shockwave came right up to your face and asked why he was abandoned. I was holding my breath along with Screamer during this interaction.

 

We'll not Rodimus I think. More along the lines of Optimal Optimus most likely.

Sorry, you didn't say the opposite. But when Jackie says that it hints at backstory/explanation/history of some sort.

 

Well to be fair Ultra Magnus was the Autobot's second in comand during the war for Cybertron. He's probably as famous as Optimus.

 

I really don't think he'll be 'Smokimus' or 'Screenimus' Prime. I reckon, if anything, he'd just be 'Smokescreen Prime'

 

Which is preferable to a random name change. They don't need to change their names just because they become a Prime.

 

'Zactly. In the WFC-FOC continuity, Optimus Prime was simply 'Optimus' before he became a Prime. It all works out with most Primes, even if Smokescreen's name doesn't lend itself too well to the title.

 

Yes, I agree that he does know him. It's just not what we've expected base on past episodes. We're all so sure this was their commander, but it turns out that's not the case. I hope there's a back story explanation because the way he said that "you" sound little bit of surprising from his part.

 

So a crackpot theory came to me while watching episodes 1 and 2. What if the reason the wreckers didn't recognize UM because being Optimus' lieutenant and head Wrecker, UM is in charge of the missions and has his second of the Wreckers lead the Wreckers in his stead.

Second theory, any of the Predacons could change sides. I don't think any of the Predacons will like the idea of Predaking being controlled so any one of them could side with the bots to free Predaking.

What do you guys think? Is it a crazy idea? Am I nuts?

 

IDK cuz shockwave said that it was cloned from fossils that remained on cybertron like in the case of mega godzilla its not the original creature so i dont think it can break some mind control but great theory.
