But here's the catch. Dreadwing failed Megatron every time he had a opportunity. He failed to Kill Prime, Bulkhead and Wheeljack in Loose Canons, failed to retrieve the Apex Armour in Triangulation and he failed to get the key from Bulkhead in Hard Knocks.

I'm sorry to tell you but Dreadwing sucked at doing his job. Starscream is actually good at his job and you can make him your bitch and when that happens he can't do a damn thing against Megatron especially not when Soundwave is there.

But yeah Megatron could have killed Starscream then and there so touche.

There's also the fact that Starscream accomplished more than any Decepticon could do, even Megatron. This one time his excellence was greater than his insolence. And he didn't do it just once (getting Megatron the four keys)--he did it again after the Autobots had secured the keys on Cybertron.

When Starscreams being a team player, his ability to think outside the box really comes in handy.

I know some (many?) are pissed Megatron let Starscream live after searching his memories, but do none here think Megatron did so to just to scare the $#!+ out of him? Megatron had had it with Starscream's waywardness and he wanted it to end. Despite this flaw, when Starscream was on task, he did his job to the letter, which is something Dredwing and Airachnid rarely if ever actually did.

Reigning Starscream in is perhaps the greatest thing Megatron has ever done this era, though we'll have to see how this series ends to see if it is truly ever lasting (Starscream looked a little peeved in that 40 something clip teasing season three).

And I guess saving Megatron's life was nothing.

This goes without saying. This is every Decepticons job, and they've all done it at some point. That's what backup's all about;)

This. Starscream is the best Decepticon in the show in my opinion. I just love how he's back with the Cons and not offline. Also Starscream was probably peeved at Shockwave. One can assume they never got along.

Well, he was the only one that showed up. (With those paper Vehicons)

And it's pretty much a fact that Knockout sure as hell wouldn't.

Decepticons are all too afraid to not try and save Megatron. Even Knockout. Yeah, I know he tried to pull the plug on Megatron, but would he have really done it? I think the coward would have gotten cold feet. Though if he had done it, I think Megatron would have found his way out of his host's head back to his body (again) and Knockout would be a goner for sure:lol

I have this secret fanboy hope that Skyquake and Dreadwing could be brought back somehow in reformatted/upgraded bodies as Skywarp and Thundercracker, respectively, perhaps without or little memory of their past selves. Seeing how Skyquake was stuck in an alternate dimension (the "shadow zone") I could see him gaining some sort of teleporting/warping ability (and reduced intelligence due partly to his zombification XD) as a result of that ordeal. Dreadwing's color scheme already matches Thundercracker's closely, and the two characters had misgivings about the overall Decepticon cause (to the point of maybe defecting to the Bots).

But I know that's never going to happen. Dreadwing will probably be mentioned off-handedly in some throwaway remark (Starscream's gloating or Megatron's proselytizing) and that'll be all she wrote for Dreadwing and Skyquake's characters.

Megatron reused some of Dreadwing's old parts, along with some other new parts and has reconstructed another Dreadwing and renamed him NEW DREADWING!

I always assumed that Soundwave was the real reason they couldn't just pull the plug on him. He knows everything and could easily decimate everyone.

Well, yes, there's also Soundwave to consider too. I still think Decepticons are all too afraid to act against Megatron.

Dreadwind. But he'll be as bad as Candyman 3.

I know it's been said, but if Scream had died, Dreadwing wouldn't've. But the writers wanted him back for some narcissistic reason.
