Heck, to be fair, I'd be pretty motivated if I could get me a whole bunch of fancy toys and gadgets and stuff like that.

Granted, Nemesis is a spaceship that can't use them, but still! Lots of new toys! :D

But if this were true, why didn't he seize control when Megatron was out of the picture for three years?

We know it brought him online, but there was no reason for Megatron or anyone on the ship to think it would happen, which is what I said. Even more when Megatron thought it would never happen...and that he would be the one controlling it through dark energon.

Local stores only sell either Spanish translated books or books made here. Borders was the only store selling books from all over the globe. My only option is online shopping. Thanks btw.

Well, to be fair, Knockout did tell Megatron infusing the ship with dark energon was a horrible idea, and that they had no idea how the ship would actually react.
After re-watching the episode I think Megatron was aware it would wake the ship, but he was desperate to get off the ground and he thought he could control it like one of his undead warriors. He didn't seem surprised at all when Steve told him the ship was navigating on it's own- he just said "override it."
I always assumed it was Trypticon but didn't expect anything more out of it.

Just looked like a great example of how Megatron was dabbling with things he shouldn't and his ego was too large for him to realize it.
