15 years later and we still take about Beast Wars, hell even the Unicron Trilogy we still talk about. we'll always talk about the past and why is it better than the present.

unless the shortened season3 is so they can switch over mid-season.

which would be weird, granted, but not impossible i guess.

I could take or leave The Space Opera thing but mostly you're correct in saying that most kids aren't intewrest in long story arcs that take a whole season to complete. I long for the days when self contained stories were the norm.

That's an Oxymoron if I ever heard one.

I think Hasbro should just put a monetorium on the franchise for awhile like Japan has for The Godzilla franchise and then come back with a new perspective on it.

But since it's been stated the show isn't ending anytime soon I will wait it out and see where this goes.

I thought the original post was gonna be about why Prime is going to continue when it's a really crappy show. I hope it gets very low ratings and gets cancelled. This show should go to hell.

In the case of Beast Hunters, I'm worried about that with a title like that. I'm not watching if it's really a season of Prime. It's gonna suffer the wrath of the crap-ass writers. Beast Hunters better stray away from Prime and have new writers. Even then, I feel like it's gonna be about Transformers hunting animals. Like, totally organic, evil and mystical animals. That would make me embarrassed to be a Transformers fan.

Don't worry people will find something to complain about. It takes something really amazing to floor people to the point that they can't find something to complain about. With so many fans wanting so many different things it's hard for any series to please all of us 100% of the time.

    In this thread:

    Sky is falling!
    Hasbro's out to get me.
This show's getting canned too early!
    Wrong people being wrong.
    TFs will no longer exist!!!1111oneone!!
Everything was better in my time.

So, has the thread hit every single trope of Transforums postings, or just the main ones?

The way you said that seems to indicate you misunderstood me. I wasn't talking about some designs for a possible future Avengers cartoon, I was talking about the costumes in the current running series. It's already happened and it's not a new continuity, they just have new costumes. The new season picked up right from where the last season left off. It's the same show. Also they shortened the title so it shows up in the title guide as "Avengers: Heroes" rather than "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes"

In case you haven't noticed Ironman, Thor, Hulk, Captain America and Nick Furry have all changed costumes sense the first season. Nick Furry is the most obvious sense he went from his S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform to the trench coat outfit that he wears in the movie. Thor is wearing Chain male now that he didn't have in the first season, also inspired by his movie costume. Ironman's arc reactor changed shape as it did in Ironman 2. Hulk has stretchy pants so they're not torn at the bottom, a concept that was introduced in his movie. Captain America has actually changed back to his original costume sense the one in the new costume turned out to be a Skrull.

Just because they change the costumes doesn't mean it's an entirely new series. Try actually watching the show.

First off, the articles I've read have said that there was a release date for 2015 or no release date at all so the 2014 release date is really not helping matters any.

Secondly that's not a link to the official web site. That's a link to the news section on TFW. I took the liberty of actually checking the official web site and it's still set up for Dark of the Moon. It doesn't say a damn thing there about Transformers 4. It hasn't even been updated sense the DVD and Blu Ray for Dark of the Moon came out. This forum and announcement you say are on the official web site do not exist. Of course if they did exist I'm sure you would of actually posted links to them instead of having to look it up myself just to find nothing there.

the link was not for bay site, i meant if ya dont belivie me about the news, not about the forum.

but if u want the link for the forum, here ya go
    Transformers 4

also the movieverse official website DOESNT update until the movies are nearby its release, so the site wont update to TF4 till 2013 or 2014 (heck rotf website didnt updated to DOTM, till Late (Around October-December) 2010), also the other thing is that they still haveny begun filming on the film. the sites also dont update UNTIL the film is nearby the end of Production and nearby the begining of Post-Production (TF4 is in Development/Pre-Production right now)

heres the official stetament confirming TF4 as one of bay new projects on his website
    Transformers 4 Update | MichaelBay

liek it or not tf4 is official and real, plus 2014 is the real release date, not 2015 (as of now there is NO hasbro movie coming that year)

But there also IS a new Avengers series coming, called "Avengers Assemble", based more closely on the feature film.

As a result, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is effectively done.

Just so everyone is on the same page.

Oh, to be clear, I hated Season 3 at the time. I much preferred the "Earth war" scenario. I disliked all the new characters and their futuristic alt-modes, and I felt like the storytelling had taken a serious dive in quality. Some of this is probably legitimate, but also some of it might have been that I was just getting old enough to be dissatisfied with normal kids cartoons.

But in general, I think the point was that Hasbro was changing things up by adding new characters and stuff, and this kind of thing helps keep kids' attention.

And while kids may not like long, sprawling story arcs, now as an adult, I LOVE that stuff. Normal self-contained episodes tend to be so one-note and predictable that they hold little appeal for me now. Of course, I also don't tune in once a week. I tend to watch whole seasons at a time, at my leisure (on dvd or downloaded), so I don't feel quite as ripped off by a lousy to-be-continued 22-minute episode. :)

We're kind of getting off topic here, so just to settle everything, yes, a new series is replacing Avengers : EMH called Avengers Assemble, and a lot of people were up in arms because according to early reports, this was effectively an all new series and continuity, and they liked the writing and continuity of the old show.

Now there was an announcement by Loeb during SDCC as reported by Bleeding Cool

Jeph Loeb has been talking about Avengers: Earths Mightiest Heroes and the new Avengers Assemble show at Cup O Joe at San DIego Comic Con.

He talks about what happened when Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, expanding from 22 to 52 episodes a month.

But fifty-two episodes is an enormous committment.

They have decided to transition the series into Avengers Assemble, which better reflects the cast in the movie. But it will be a continuation of the old series, and will not stamp on the continuity, perform a reboot or give a new continuity. It will just grow.

So supposedly, it will be a continuation of the EMH under a new banner, but redone to better reflect the movie look and cast, SUPPOSEDLY, because this is Jeph Loeb talking.

Anyway back to topic, it is good that Hasbro decided to continue Prime, it at least shows some commitment to their all new aligned continuity. I just wish they could expand the stories and characters more, because certain chunks of the season feel like they're lacking direction. The budget restricted CGI is also showing its limits, because for a supposed galactic war between Autobots and Decepticons, we're seeing very little of it.

Hasbro needs to end TF cartoons & TF toy lines quicker than they did in the past. due to the ever growing bad economy. stuff everywhere isn't selling like the way it use to.

Hasbro's new stragedy. is to end a TF toy line early so it warms the pegs & shelves less in stores. Hasbro knows stores already over order newer product in higher amounts compared to older product.

any time a new TF live movie year is upon us. everything else gets cancelled that year. Hasbro does this Because they know the movie TF toys sell the most volume in stores around the world.

But they're not ending things earlier, history has shown us that they normally run things for about 3 seasons, and then doing a relaunch/reboot after. The only exceptions have so far been Beast Machines (which was poorly received) and RID because it was really planned as a one season show in Japan.

The reboot certainly isn't just about the bad economy, but rather about selling new toys. People are just not going to keep buying slight variations of the same toy, even if the economy were better, which is why Bumblebee has flooded the toy aisles. It's the same reason why Spider-Man 3 toys did poorly compared to the previous movie toys, people already had their fill of the toys for the two previous films, same with Batman. By the time the third film rolled out, most people already had a variation of the figure. Even Iron Man, his toys have began to shelfwarm already, because with the two movies, the Avengers movie, not to mention the Marvel Universe and Legends line, we've gotten tons of his figures, and some people can't tell the difference.

As for the 4th movie, Hasbro won't let two lines of the same brand competing heavily for shelf space, which is why they normally space/adjust their lines. They won't cancel everything though, otherwise we wouldn't have gotten any Classics or other complementary lines during the movie years, but we did. My expectation is, a hiatus for the cartoon and toys while they launch the movie.

Films are announced before a script is written all the time. Especially with large movies like this where they're continuing a concept that's guaranteed profit.

Men in Black 3 even started filming before the script was done.
