I personally hope that we get a Prime-style Voyager-class UM that is a repaint of OP. But Hasbro hates Prime redecos with a passion so it's honestly more likely we'd get a new mold UM.

I'd love a tired of war grumpy commander Ultra Magnus voiced by J.K Simmons who just wants to win the war and live in peace.

I would Prefer Xander Berkeley as Ultra Magnus, But not all grumpy (which is Lame), but impersonating Robert Stack.

 

I'd love to see a war-weary UM, a guy who led the Wreckers, killed countless upon countless 'Cons, and after Cybertron fell just went off-world and tried to have a peaceful life, but for some reason ends up on Earth and gets sucked back into the war against his will. It'd be a nice improvement over all the Prime Autobots so excited to "bash some Cons" all the time.

And JK Simmons would be great for that.

 

i would love to see magnus in this show. i think he'd look awesome, a nice updated G1 homage.. and i'd pray that he gets a figure made..

that being said.. that hammer has nothing to do with magnus.

The other link was to the TFP version of Solus, I prefer the one from the novel Exiles....it had a quick background story for her. Actually, was kind disappointed that they found her Forge here on Earth, but at least it doesn't do Megs any good without the power of a Prime.


Near the dawn of time, while the Thirteen were struggling with the threat of Unicron, Megatronus Prime commissioned Solus Prime to create a weapon of incredible destruction to use against the Chaos Bringer. Solus Prime had strong reservations, but after a long period of time managed to create the Requiem Blaster. She gathered the interested members of the Thirteen to witness a test of its powers, and leveled a mountain. She pointed out that power corrupts and worried that the existence of such a weapon could possibly lead to their own downfall. Ultimately, the Thirteen voted seven to six to keep the Requiem Blaster and not destroy it.

It was Solus Prime's sudden murder at the hands of the enraged Megatronus Prime that caused the first major schism in the Thirteen. After Megatronus Prime became The Fallen and was defeated by the remnants of the Thirteen, a tomb was fashioned for Solus Prime out of a meteor and set adrift in the stars, reachable only by a series of space bridges.

Countless years later, Optimus Prime came across Solus Prime's tomb while searching for a mystical artifact. A semi-sentient hologram of Solus Prime appeared and warned Optimus and his Autobots to leave. Solus Prime directed them towards a Space Bridge which would take them to the location of the lost Requiem Blaster

Also in Exodus/Exiles, UM was left on Cybertron as leader of the Wreckers..his choice.. and I've been hoping that we would get to see him either on Cybertron on a quick trip to Earth..as for adding any new bots, yep, hoping we get a couple new ones by the end of S2..maybe Jackie can stick around at least.

 

Ultra Magnus would be interesting. I don't really want him, but it would be interesting to see their take on him

Possibility for Ultra Magnus

We know that Ultra Magnus (the toy at least) and Breakdown both have and iconic hammer weapon in this continuity.

We also know that MECH has shown that they are more than capable of (re)constructing robots from square one and that the Nemesis Prime body was still relatively intact.

Given their previous experience and recent success, I think it could be a cool twist if Magnus, (or hell, some other mainstream bot/con) was built by MECH as a fusion between Breakdown and Nemesis Prime's parts.

I don't want that. If MECH build it, it's not a character -- it's just a machine. If we get Magnus or whoever else on this show at some point, I want them to be characters with personalities. Not puppets.

 

I agree. Nemesis Prime has a history of being a construct (but before, it was Unicrons). Ultra Magnus is a real character and should be treated as such. That being said, when I heard there was a Dead End retool coming, I was hoping it would be a Frankenstein zombie Breakdown until I looked on Tfwiki. Yes, it took me that long to find out it was a Wheeljack mold. But seriously, the name, the stunticon faction, going from white and blue to red and black? It would have been perfect IMO).

 

Magnus is the wrecker commander and he will be voiced by J.K Simmons.
