Aaand the intro's a clip show. Saw that coming. Man, but the footage used does not fit this song.

Oh Lord, Cliffjumper sings about how great he is. Hah. "Ore wa Cliffjumpah~"

Hah! Instead of "You want the horns? You got 'em." it's "ARMS UP!" In fact, every Autobot says that when they deploy their weapons. That and "TRANSFORM!" of course.

Well that's clever time editing. They cut out the stuff between Starscream's strike and Cliffjumper falling. There's lots of little edits, but they're really seamless.

Starscream's voice is flamboyant as HELL. At the very least, it definitely leaves an impression.

And the commercial bumper's a CGI turnaround of Optimus and Arcee in vehicle and robot mode with the G1 theme as a jingle.

The Vehicons have slightly more lines, including 'Transform!'

Bumblebee's the same as he ever was.

Arcee's catchphrase seems to be 'saiyaku', which apparently means, 'This is/You're the worst!'

The bit with the idol group's as akward as I thought it would be. It's slightly less annoying than the Otobotto family though.

And the arms Microns are very low budget CGI. It's O.P, B2, and R.A. They're floating in weapon mode the whole time. They try transforming and...to be continued? I'm getting a bit of a Zako Zako hour vibe from it.

And instead of a 'next time' bit, they put clips of the next episode into the credits.

    And that's it!

You'd better keep this up. It's hilarious.

To be honest, I didn't think they'd put in the Microns. I, for some strange reason, thought the Japanese version would be normal.

Gah, you bet me by a few minutes! You actually know Japanese so this is for the best, haha. I didn't notice the editing. It seems it really was seamless, haha.

They weren't in the show. It was a skit after the episode concluded. The idol group introduced them.

Those two words don't belong in the same sentence unless the word not is sandwiched between them.

I will forever face palm at the Japanese pathetic attempts at English. It is cool if you are going to include English in your song because it is 'hip' in J-pop, at least get a fucking pronunciation guide. It just sounds so damn stupid.

"BeLieve in yourseLf" Those are Ls. They are not hard to pronounce. I don't care if the letter L is not in your language, it is in ours, and if you are going to imitate our language, do it so you don't sound laughable to people who actually speak the language.

I've heard some Japanese songs where the English sounds EXACTLY like ours. It's rare, but it does happen sometimes where someone actually picks up a pronunciation guide. You know "Row Row Fight The Power" from Gurren Lagann? I'm pretty sure that's Japanese people singing that.

This is like Plan 9 in that it's so terrible that it's amusing.

This is fantastically ridiculous. The only way this could have been better is if the opening was just Knockout dancing to the music.

Also, it amuses me that Arcee is getting bottom billing in all the Japanese Prime stuff (which is pretty much par for the course for all female characters in Japanese media aimed at boys) despite being arguably the main character of the series.

They did exactly what I wanted them to and I dig it, right on.
Made it kinda boppy and took you out of all the seriousness, as in all a Japanese opening usually does, just kind of makes you look at the bigger picture. So I dig this.

Also, to make fun or to tell a Japanese native to get a pronunciation guide is a bit much, I would almost accuse it as bigotry but that is a bit far. let's just leave it at "fucked up".

    ..........

I guess after seeing Animateds AMAZING Japanese intro, I had high hopes ^^"

I'll just stick with the English version with the cool silent intro.

I really don't like that opening at all. That said, I find it quite amusing. xD

Sorry BigBang. I'm not your anti-fan, but that song doesn't fit with this show AT ALL.
I don't want to even talk about that OP clip. WHAT THE HELL IS I WATCHED? :drunk

I saw the show and have hope for it. the dub work is almost serious and loyal to the original, not like Japanese-dubbled Beast Wars that is sometime arguable in the Japanese fandom. and the cast - especially Shizuka Ito(Arcee)'s voice is so damn sexy! I really love her voicework. fyi she's dubbing Ahsoka Tano's voice too. :D ~~~

about the songs: the opening is total bullshit. will not fit for *any* animation program. another K-poop marketing fail, now they are BIG DUNG! I'll skip the opening sequence next time. the ending is not bad at all. typical anime tie-in song.

and Tokyo Girls' Style's mini-corner is totally nonsense. the concept reminds me of Kamen Rider Fourze's Rabbit Hatch though.
