Well every thread does have their own share of crazy moments right? By the way I DON"T always go crazy about every criticism that's made about the show or at people who don't like TFP for some reason. There are time where I disagree but I'm cool with it and and at times I acutally DO agree with some criticisims! I know I've gone overboard in the past but I'm making an effort to not let it happen again but there are times where the habit dies hard!

And to get back at the real topic where it needs to be I agree the intro is nothing special but it's also not one of the worst either! It tried to give the viewer the sense it's movie inspired and I understand that. I would like to see a new intro myself and if it's music is something like this

it'll be awsome! 

Well most shows don't get a lot of things right the first time and that didn't stop them from improving inthe later seasons. Besides the writers can always look back to see what they got wrong and they'll improve them in Season 2. They wouldn't call themselves writers if they don't think of ways of improvement. I know that the first season didn't agree with you but why don't we see how Season 2 will fare. And by the way, Arcee's personalty is not all about being agressive. There are other aspects of her character like being caring,frightened,joking,and being a little annoyed and her backstory does give a reason why she's more agressive in battle and it's actually understandable! Besides her past versions aren't know for having deep characterizations either so I really give the writers credit for making the effort of making THIS version of Arcee more deep! at least  I do agree with you about Knockout! , Starscream's going to return in season 2 and while we didn't get backstory he has TONS of personalty! The whole zombie thing I can live without. Say what you want of Airachnid she's certainly not to be takened lightly! MECH has proven so far that they are human villens that are no laughing matter! I'm sure Season 2 wil inprove MANY things but I might be wrong so we'll see eventully!

 

New season intro is likely, but not until the first couple episodes are done, no spoilers that way.

I'm thinking they may throw Wheeljack in the opening though, maybe to replace a bot that may or may not die.

 

I'd like to see a fake intro - one that changes things up slightly.

Start with Optimus Prime driving on the highway the same, but when you see the others, it's Knockout and Breakdown (plus Vehicons?).

The shots of the others at the base are the same, but then when it cuts to the battlefield, it's Optimus and Megatron rather than Starscream and Megatron, the Autobots pull back in surprise, and then face their Decepticon rivals in a brief clash - Knockout VS Bumblebee, Arcee VS Airachnid, ending with Bulkhead and Breakdown slamming into each other's fists like normal.



As for the music, I quite like it - it's nice to have a change from the endless repetition of the usual theme song. Makes Prime distinct as a series, which in my mind it needs to be.

I do look forward to seeing what Japan can do for the intro, of course.

 

Or (for the fake intro part) do what they did for the five-part miniseries. I certainly enjoyed that.

Yeah, me too. I think they should handle it the same way this season. I know by episdoe 10 the same intro starts to get old, especially going back to watch re-runs, it drives me insane, lol. I am going to edit them out of my collection if I ever get the time.

 

I like Prime, but I like what you said here still.

 

Your right about DOTM's story better than Season 1. But the endings and the way the treated the charecters was absolutely dreadful. The ending was so anti-climatic in DOTM it's why i hated the film.

But you still think Prime can't get any better, the last few episodesfrom Partners (Minus TMI) to One shall fall were greatly written, focused on charecter and backstory. Unicron's demise was anti-climatic but the ending with Orion Pax makes up for it and thsu we can get more stories.

DOTM basically used the killswitch for any more good sequels that aren't half assed.
