Why would someone keep coming back to a thread to remind everyone that they have no intention of watching a given TV show, and at the same time keep on discussing it?

in the form of flashbacks, or other episodes that build up the events that happen in the opener.

It's certainly unexpected.

 

If this ends up being true, and he doesn't come back, then I think this show gets off to a great start by highlighting that this is, in fact, a war, and that there are casualties. It sucks that the character seems so fleshed out, but if the writers are getting this kind of reaction out of us, then they've done their job. So while I'm bummed that he may be gone, as far as showcasing the height and depth of the show, this is a pretty good start.

Just pure speculation on my part but it does contain some spoiler elements.

What if the reason for putting Cliffjumper on death's door is so Megatron can use dark energon on an Autobot. We don't really know what the stuff is to begin with much less what it might do to an Autobot. To borrow from wrestling since it's The Rock, maybe it makes Cliffjumper go from face to heel and the rest of the Autobots have to find a way to turn him back. Or maybe he remains an Autobot but now there is a dark part of his spark.

 

Either of those suggestions could be really interesting if they happen - there's a lot of potential for some great writing to come out of this. I remain cautiously optimistic of good things.

 

daym, i'm going to get this most likely through other means than tv since i don't think we have hub in the uk and the show hasn't been licensed out yet.

Oh darn I didn't think of that. If the writers are as talented as the review hints at then there are just so many good directions they could go with the plot point.
