EPISODE 3 is up. If you feel the need to continue this series like I do. I just don't get this series. Is there a plot? If you don't read the IDW series you would have no clue what they are even talking about when there actually is dialogue. Windblade is so unlikable in this. There is absolutely no storytelling, no narrative. This could be the most incoherent Transformers story since Revenge of the Fallen.

 

It only took 3 episodes to show something good.

What I'd like to know is: based on what we have seen so far, what took them so darn long to write this?

 

man with how unlikable windblade became i expected her to pull a johnny test and say "Blabbity blah blah, Let's just fight already"

sorry for swearing, i cant wait till she gets her head crushed in after her spine is ripped out used to whip her than strangle the glitch and her legs torn off shoved through her abdomen as her wings are wielded to a wall, keeping her from escaping like a butterfly in museum. So we can watch as blades slowly carve off the metal off her body before she is finished off ONCE AND FOR ALL using her sword to carve her spark out of her Chest with one final slash up to slice her head in half.

 

I didn't know Michael Bay's Optimus Prime had a TFW account...

Ugh, this guy drives me crazy! His voice is like nails on a chalkboard. He sounds like a drunk guy trying to sound like Peter Cullen. How the hell is this guy even a voice actor?

 

Frame rate and animation seems marginally improved in this episode...but the dialogue...

Like at the start Optimus stops talking mid-sentence to dodge an attack that doesn't come for almost 5 seconds later. Which for her to just leap to attack and try to kill Prime like that in the first place is stupid. Even moreso is the end where he immediately flips gears without any real discussion just because she mentions the Enigma. Forget her murdering rampage and attempted murder, no debating or discussion about the morals or methods, let's just go get Fort Max then (just a guess on 'who'). I mean yea...he talked about not letting her start another war, but that was part of the discussion where he didn't know why she was doing this. Plus he would try diplomacy by going to Rodimus/Hotrod before looking to find someone with enough firepower to destroy the enigma unless there's a piece of dialogue missing (fancy that) to explain why he wouldn't.

 

This show is literally the worst thing ever made by a human being. I would love to see someone try to defend every aspect of what is wrong with this show. Hell, even Jon Bailey couldn't save this. I know Jon Bailey browses these forums and I don't mean to insult him, but it seems like he was given barely any/terrible direction.

 

Its really not. Not the worse cartoon ever made. Not even the worse ever Transformers cartoon ever made.

Cyber Missions is far worse. And Action Blast is the absolute worse.

Although Menasor's voice is the most inappropriate casting I've heard in any Transformers product.

 

That and he sounds like a constipated Optimus Prime.

 

I liked Optimus' display of controlled power; he could have crushed her at any time.

 

Cyber Missions is so bad that it's hilarious, this is just so bad that it's bad.

 

Not to mention Cyber Missions was made knowing full well what it was. Essentially just some short skits with the intention of selling the ROTF toyline.

Even then the episodes were pretty innocent. Like one of just Ironhide and Bumblebee sparring before sharing a short reflection on preserving earth's life, after almost landing on a flower. It's sappy and not entirely sensical given the flower was in the arctic, but it wasn't trying to be deep or mature.

This is trying to come off as some mature "adult" storytelling, when really it's pretty much just poorly made nonsense.

 

Ugh, I don't get this show. My biggest problem, I guess, is that there's no real world here. They go from one generic metal planet to another, and both planets seem to only have a population of about five.

The only character that's likable at this point is Starscream. We don't have anything on Computron, Menasor talked too much, Windblade's BFF died, Windblade is whiny as heck and we get no reason for why she hates combiners, chick on the council seems to only be there for robo-fanservice (what was up with that pan-up shot..?), Hot Rod acts... like Starscream, and Optimus changed his mind in, like, ten seconds and seemingly completely forgetting "freedom is the right of all sentient beings", and being willing to team up with the chick KILLING Transformers for no apparent reason.

I don't really mind the voice acting, it's just the writing and characters driving me nuts.

 

So far, we're three episodes in and nothing good has happened. This series isn't good at all. The voice acting is trite, the action is boring, and the plot is nonexistant. For being a series based off of the event from the comics, it has no ties to anything- characters/characterizations, or happenings- it sure has nothing to do with anything. Even with another half-dozen five episodes to go there's nothing at all that compels me to want to care.

I had such hopes, too...

 

This episode was ok. Definitely the best one out of the 3 so far, but the 5 min time limit is killing all the momentum. And goddamn, Optimus' voice is terrible.

 

Episode 3 was the best episode so far but that really is not saying much.

For a 5 minute chunk of content there is far too much procrastinating.

How many episodes are expected? Certainly not 40 or 50 which is what will be needed to get to the point at current pace.
