Firstly, watch the damn show! It's obvious you haven't because Optimus' resurrection was explained in it, and I'm getting tired of spelling everything out to you (his resurrection also made it pretty clear this was a Prime sequel, which you apparently didn't know before this thread). Secondly, read my post again. I said before Deadlock, not after, meaning anything from episode one, onward. Finally, Prime won awards for animation, not writing. Why? Because it was a nice-looking show with no substance to it.

Oh WOW! A scene that was never referenced again after it happened, and didn't have any lasting effect on these characters. How deep. Yeah, I don't feel like wasting my time on you, either. You clearly know nothing of writing, and you aren't interested in learning.

RID Optimus consistenly uses actual strategy to deal with foes instead of just yelling really loud as he magically gets a power surge because Bee got hurt/Raf got hurt/ Cybertron got hurt, I find that much more interesting than plot-power and actualy fits his character of grizzled general much better than Prime did, since TFP seemed to be under the illusion that to make somebody feel seasoned you just have to let him talk in monotone and do alot of speeches.

Physical-strenght-wise I don't think he's gotten weaker, the only fair fight he had in the entire show was against Stockade and he completely floored that guy, everybody else was either powered up so he was in disadvantage or he was powered down so he was in disadvantage.

Lol, I never noticed that but you're right. I like both shows, Prime is number one for me but I don't think RID is anywhere near as bad as people make out.

I'm probably in the minority here, but I far prefer his portrayal in Transformers: Prime. I enjoyed how he was a leader who, although he clearly cared about his troops, he had to emotionally detach himself more to avoid his emotions putting himself and his soldiers at risk. With RID, while he does pretty much maintain the same personality, he's still a bit too serious compared to the rest of the cast, which can feel awkward at times and I feel like the writers didn't know what to do with him after bringing him back, so they separated him from Bumblebee and had him go on his own adventures with Sideswipe, Windblade, and the rest. I think his best outing so far was the finale, where he has to learn how to adapt to no longer leading the Autobots and taking orders from someone who was once his subordinate.

Yep....RiD is a continuity of Prime (yet they don't even connect like what). RiD was Ok, but its a huge disappointment considered its a sequel to the Prime show.

I feel like RID Optimus, without the stress of the war, in the more lighthearted atmosphere of the cartoon, is a lot more fun and relatable in the limited screentime he has than he was as the protagonist of TFP.

He's risen to the occasion, (re)discovered his Prime-ship, fought a war, endured loss, revitalized his world, died, and been ressurected. But that's all in his past.

Now he's just a chill old man who's finding his place and carrying on his fight for what's right.

He's like the Bee Team's no-nonsense grandpa, I dig it.

Does RID OP still have the matrix? In many continuities it is the Matrix that gives OP a power surge/ reformated into a stronger bot. Look at Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod, Even G1 Scourge when he held it.

Are we all forgetting that Prime left the training of the Primes prematurely?
