If anything, TFPrime was probably one of the best running Transformers shows for its time. It had a plot and some pretty good characters, some of which we could relate to. It was also the first series I ever watched from beginning to end as it aired over the years, and it will always have a special place in my heart.

I made it a tradition to celebrate the very first episode's airing, which is due in November on the 26th (27th in my case) where I bake a small cake with a candle and have some of my Transformers Prime toys on the table. After eating the cake, I spend the rest of the day watching the episodes from beginning to end. This year it's the 6th anniversary and I intend to celebrate it in my new house that I'm moving into.

But what made me enjoy the show most of all was the addition of Predaking, being a seperate character, a fucking dragon who could kick EVERYBODY'S asses without breaking a sweat, and being a sympathetic character who just wanted to rebuild his race. If only Megatron wasn't such a paranoid douche, then he wouldn't have killed the Predacon clones and would have had Predaking's undying loyalty to the cause. Of course, I understand Megatron's reasons because he's had issues in the past with those who wanted to take over the leadership role, but damn what a douche.

You could say... I'm a loyal fan to the series, even though I'm fully aware of its flaws, but asides from Beast Wars... it was a fantastic ride.

God where do I begin with Prime?

Ok, so for starters prior to TFP I only saw the Unicron Trilogy back when it was on Toonami, then I saw the first Bayverse movie, then the first season of Animated (which half of it I never watched because of the shitty timeslots), so after Animated I just gave up on Transformers as a whole (I was like 9 when I stopped watching them). Then last year (Being a big fan of Cartoon Network), I heard that a new Transformers show was coming one and was a sequel to Prime (RiD). Therefore I decided to go ahead and watch all of Prime shortly after Season 1 of RiD ended. I heard from some people say that it was basically like "The TF version of Star Wars Clone Wars" Which I loved watching, so I gave it a shot. I'll be honest, my jaw DROPPED when Cliffjumper died and how graphic it was, which basically set the tone for the rest of the series for me. I loved all the epic fight scenes and all the cool characters (Knock Out being one of my absolute favorites in Season 1).

Then Season 2 started and I got introduced to Smokescreen, who is definitely my favorite Transformers character of any series in the franchise. First off I loved his personality, and it helped that he was voiced by Nolan North, one of my favorite voice actors EVER (Favorite roles I heard him as prior to TFP were Richtofen in COD Zombies, August in Tales from the Borderlands, and Desmond in Assassin's Creed). I loved every little bit about him, from his white and blue paintjob to how (to me at least, being the big Sonic fan I am), that I always imagine that if Sonic was in the Transformers Universe, he'd be him. I really love how much development he got in the end of season 2 and beginning of season 3, ESPECIALLY loving his new blue and yellow paintjob even more than the white and blue one!

Overall though even though the series did have some flaws (MECH and Airachnid anybody? Also would've been nice to see Smokescreen as a Prime [I headcanon his name would be Sigma Prime]) Transformers Prime was definitely the motivation for me to get back into the TF franchise, making me watch movies 2-4 of the Bayverse, watching Seasons 1 and 2 of the G1 cartoon, and most recently, watching the G1 movie for the first time (I was completely unspoiled save for knowing of Optimus and Starscream's deaths).

Right now I'm busy watching RiD Season 3, and working on getting into Beast Wars and finishing Animated and G1 too. So thanks Prime, for getting me back into what I missed out on for the last nine years...

The series itself was good, had some good things and some flaws. What I like about it is its smooth animation, and this version of Optimus Prime was awesome. They made him into a wise, strong yet gentle bot which we all expect from him, my only complaint was that he had little emotion which made him a bit bland.

Prime also had, in my opinion, tolerable humans, I liked Raf and Agent Fowler the most. I also liked Jack but Miko was alright as well, I could tolerate her.
TFP is the first TF show I've ever watched actually, so when I rediscovered it a few months ago, it was nostalgia for me. Yes, we are all aware of its flaws, but I enjoyed it, it holds a special place in my heart.

I honestly really like this show, even though I'm aware of it's flaws. I just love the animation and characters deigns (I kinda wish they were what the Michael bay designs were like) but the story is lacking some areas.

There's a few things about Transformers Prime that I'm not crazy about that I could list but I'd rather not.

One thing I do like about the series is the animation is similar to that of Pixar. Plus it features some of my favorite voice actors and actresses from other shows. One of which is Gina Torres, she reminds me of Sheryl Lee Ralph and Viola Davis they have strong voices and seem to do well in a wide range of genres.
