We all know how this goes...

    Transformers Aligned Continuity didn't work

(And I heard why their excuses was.)

But this for fun. Lets poke some holes in the TF-Prime and TF-R.I.D.

    I'll go first.

So those Decepticon hunters seem WAY more powerful than an Relic.

One trick relics were stored away but combining shape shifting mind reading mega power weapons are standard issue eh?

Meh, pretty much sums up the problems with RID, it's continuity is all over the place. New Cybertronian Sub Spies, Cybertron being restored quickly with functional Crime Bosses, Wingblade being summoned by Primus and placed on Earth a thousand years ago, but missed all of Prime, the millions of years of dormant Cybertron? Humans are unrealistic Morons.

RID is an epic Failure as a sequel to Prime, and and possibly worse than Beast Machines in TF sequels, at least Beast Machines stuck with it's continuity with Beast Wars.

But the continuity was pretty much already all over the place before RiD thanks to the Aligned Continuity. Everything ended up being affected by it due to everyone having differing visions.

Not a single hunter so far has done things as god-moding as most relics could though. Yeah you can combine them to get cool armor, big deal, one of the relics was a spark-ripping bomb and one made you invincible and pretty much able to do anything to anyone without being touched.

But that is part of the lore. Humans were morons already back in Prime where they saw a stationary giant alien tower far away but accepted the excuse that it was a meteor falling. Because that is what meteors look like I suppose, gargantuan alien towers in the middle of the desert.

Grimlock and Fix-it, successfully Convince Humans that Grimlock is a Dinosaur shaped Construction vehicle.

The Tower thing in Prime could work with Gov persuasion.

To be fair humans have pretty much always been idiots in Transformers.

Technically yes, those that haven't been morons weren't dealing with cover ups on Transformers. But I would say in RiD they are a particular breed of stupid that may in fact dwarf the rest. We're talking people that are fooled by bad disguises (one of which is on a ten year old) and have REPEATEDLY seen robots around the city running amok and keep thinking it's something else. Not even to begin counting the number of times Russle and Danny have gotten away with impersonating an officer. Or the time that Strongarm showed up to save people from a fire and yet NONE of them got in the car and were rather dragged (unsafely) holding a towbed on the back to a point of an actual emergency reponse where no one stopped to question her.

Since this happens pretty much every other episode I do think this puts the RiD humans in its own unique space of dumb humans. Hell, the humans in Rescue Bots question more about what's going on than the RiD ones.

Well to me it's like the 2 parter in the G1 episode "Megatron's Master Plan." where the humans actually buy the lie without considering "Wait didn't these Decepticons willfully try to harm and kill us in the past, why should we trust them?" or when they saw the Stunticons and thought they were the Autobots even though they have the Decepticon insignia out in plain view.

But don't get me wrong, I'm not denying that are stupid in RiD. I just simply brush it off then proceed to make fun of them. I even cracked a joke in the episode "Impounded" by saying "Gasp! A human that actually asks for proof! It's a miracle!"

Uh. No. That's bull. A construction vehicle painted like a dinosaur with dinosaur details is actualy physically possible. Specially since the show is set in the future where animatronic robot suits are believable to the general population.

A giant alien tower taller than any human construction in history being called a meteor shower is logically, physically and probably religiously impossible. It's like Fowler wasn't even trying. It's the equivalent of pointing to a giraffe and yelling "look it's a pineapple!". Or heck look at all the times proof of alien life ended up on the Internet but a 12 year old somehow managed to hack all of it out of existence even though that is not remotely how internet works! That is like making molten iron out of said giraffe who is apparently a pineapple using a juicing machine!

And all that is not mentioning the fact that RID makes it part of the humor anyway constantly poking fun at the disguise concept, while Prime played it dead serious while being highly more surrealistic. So no, sorry, Prime humans are definitely just as bad if not worse.

Humans may always be a bit on the dim side in Transformers fiction (that's usually a necessity), but Danny's and Russell's terrible disguises jump the shark.

Even more so than humans to that decide to trust Decepticons even though they have clearly tried to kill them in the past or humans that somehow can't manage to see insignias that are clearly in plain view? Seems likes RiD humans are no dumber than them.

Hmm, let's see. Which is dumber? Humans that are ignorant of alien robot political factions, or humans that are ignorant of five-year-old level human disguises and misdirection tactics? I'm just a human, I'm too dim to figure this out.

Ah but do remember by that point in G1, humans pretty much knew who Autobots were and who Decepticons were. That's why I brush off their stupidity in RiD and just proceed to make fun of them.

There's still a huge gap between falling for a classic scorpion-and-frog scenario, and not seeing past a bad Sherlock Holmes costume or a child pretending to be an adult. Huge.

More importantly, the real question isn't whether humans were just as stupid in G1 (I think they weren't, but whatever). The real question is whether they were just as stupid in the rest of what was supposed to be the Aligned continuity.

Yet I still prefer stupidly oblivious humans over the douchey kind in the movies and IDW. :/
