    He found Doradus.

Great and exciting finale I must say. Season 2 was a definite improvement over Season 1 overall and I wonder what direction they will go in season 3. I'm seriously interested to find out.

I wish he would have. He had a cool design.

    So sad to have
all the cool Cons at Cybertron. I hope they can beat these badass Cons like Thunderhoof or Steeljaw in their personality and their design in the next season.

Feeling so empty right now. Waiting struggle is real. I loved the episode finale and I think it was better than the last one because we had more fights at the same time. Maybe Sideswipes plan was a bit too easy but meh, I am fine with it.

Springload was probably allowed to depart after he returned with the chord. Although he did appear in portals, thisnwas most likely his last time on the ship. I say allowed, he probably just went against steeljaws orders,as steeljaw probably lied about helping him find doradus, and also wanted him to stay as part of his army.

Glad that Megatronus didn't show up. That would have been lamer than it was the first time.

Maybe the movie will focus on Cybertron, with Jazz showing up also.

Oh yeah I forgot there is still a movie between season 2 and 3 I wonder when that will be aired. I'm anxious for more RID, I've gone from liking the show to loving it for the most part since season 2 started and ended.

Okay so I just watched the 2 part season 2 finale and it was amazing and I'm so happy that it wasn't anti-climatic like the season 1 finale.

Okay so I liked that not only didn't Strongarm and Sideswipe fight with each other but Strongarm has seemed to form a good friendship with Windblade. It was interesting to see how Sideswipe reacted to them both getting along and maybe if you squint you can pick up jealously, emphasis on squint. But Strongarm seems to show she cares for Sideswipe with her comment when Sideswipe asked he why she wasn't worried about Windblade getting captured "I'm trying to keep a cool head, but if it were you who got captured then I would be a basket case."

Also I got a laugh from Grimlock's and Drift's interaction when Grimlock keeps insisting that they should be teammates only for Drift to constantly not want apart of it. But I was glad to see he warmed up to the idea by choosing to remain on Earth.

As for Ratchet, I was intrigued by how he explained that Cybertron's corrupt government was placing the blame for the fall of Cybertron on Optimus and his team and wanted Cybertronians to forget he ever existed and when Ratchet spoke up against it, they sent him off the planet to hunt down Decepticon criminals, basically to keep him quiet. I've always been interest in the idea of the corrupted Cybertronian Government, a theme I actually explore a bit in my fan fic "Transformers VG" So I hope that this theme can be explored more.

As for Ratchet, it was great to see him again, though I felt his "I needed that." seemed awkward and forced all because the writers wanted to be like "Hey remember that phrase Ratchet always said in Prime?" But none the less it was still great to see him and I like his minicon too but I am surprised how little focus was put on it what with the whole emphasis on the minicons Hasbro wants.

Moving onto the Decepticons, ah man I am so sad that Sabrehorn barely did anything in the episode, he and Glowstrike were just defeated by Steeljaw and were never seen again. It's so sad, as much as I love Steeljaw, it felt like those two characters were wasted potential.

As for Steeljaw, man it seemed like he went a little koo koo for coco puffs. I was surprised and a little disappointed at how insane and power hungry he was. Yes I know Steeljaw had his moments of snapping and yes I know he always wanted to take over Earth, but here it seemed he became extremely obsessed with power. I stated before that I like how Steeljaw can be both a charmer and a trickster, making him interesting and unpredictable. But by make him like crazy and screaming "I feel like I can take down all the Primes!" makes him seem more like a generic badguy. I also found it hard to take Steeljaw's defeat easily when his "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" got mixed with a howl, honestly I just burst out laughing instead.

Also can I just say one thing about the armor that both Bumblebee and Steeljaw got when the three Decepticon Hunters were combined... that armor looked... absolutely stupid. It just seemed way too messy and bulky designed.

Finally my thoughts on Bumblebee and Optimus. I liked how it seemed to show more of the father and son bond they both seem to share. Bumblebee respects Optimus but wants to prove that he had became a good leader because he learned from him, while Optimus wants to let Bumblebee make his own choices much the danger makes him fear for Bumblebee's safety. It was nice to see them both understand each other and work together to defeat Steeljaw. I do hope that Optimus returns for Season 3 though, cause I mean just because he's not on Earth anymore doesn't mean we can't have episodes focused on him and his new team just like before.

So with that said I give the episodes 9/10, it was a good 2-parter but I feel like some of the characters could have been handled better.

So that makes the Final Scores...

    Ep 1 - 7.5/10
    Ep 2 - 8/10
    Ep 3 - 8/10
    Ep 4 - 6.7/10
    Ep 5 - 8/10
    Ep 6 - 10/10
    Ep 7 - 9/10
    Ep 8 - 9.7/10
    Ep 9 - 7/10
    Ep 10 - 10/10
    Ep 11 - 9.8/10
    Ep 12 & 13 - 9/10

    Season 2 Average - Final Score 8.6/10

I love the season 1 pilot episode reference when Strongarm ask Sideswipe to change the frequency and then Sideswipe replied "Sure,...... Maybe!" Just like when Strongarm asked Sideswipe to shutdown the security system and He replied "No,..... Maybe!" Its nice to see Ratchet come back even though I need that line seem to be pushed a bit. Winny doesnt do anything much but I like the part when she smile to Strongarm when Sideswipe said he won't return to Cybertron. So, brace yourself, more of Sideblade and Sidearm Fanfiction is coming and I happy with that.:)  Steeljaw? I understand his power hunger personality in this episode. Who wont become like that after you conquer the whole ship and defeat all leaders and took control of everything. The armors were kinda lame. They looks like random bright plates stick all over the body. Fixit and Toolbox were really cute I gotta buy bunches of Legion fixit and make collars for each of them.:D  Anyway, the episodes are great the best episode of entire series IMO. I have feeling really empty right now. Gotta find some shows to watch until season 3 come up. I hope to see more Jazz and Winny.

My opinion score on each season:
    Season 1 - 6/10
    Season 2 - 9/10

All hail Optimus! All hail Bumblebee! All hail Sidearm!

The action in this episode was pretty enjoyable, and I'm glad we got to see so many Decepticons return, even though their roles were small. We at least got a couple of scenes of each of them beating some Autobots, until each group of 'Bots overcame them. It was great to finally see Steeljaw as the big bad of the series, it's just a pity he was immediately defeated. He just couldn't catch a break. I quite liked his howl at the end.

The show's story really did end up feeling worthless. The writers wanted a bigger threat, so they provided Steeljaw with a ready made army, but they still wanted him to work towards something. Their solution was to just throw in a pre-existing leadership, which was included solely to be overthrown. They never actually led, and Glowstrike never even got to be a villain of the week, like Scorp and Saber did.

The scene where Steeljaw combines the three Decepticon hunters was really badly animated. Steeljaw was just a mess of glowing blue, and his movements became so awkward. These animation models are so bulky that they can barely move fluidly on their own, adding so much extra armour on just destroyed the animation. Plus there was a frame-rate drop when he's about to drop the weapon. I don't know if the animators overloaded their computers, or if it was a bad attempt at slow-mo, but it looked terrible. Despite that, I sill enjoyed the scene, mostly, and thought it had some pretty tense moments, by this show's standards.

It's interesting that Optimus is leaving to investigate Cybertron's new regime. It seems we might be getting a corrupt Cybertronian council after all. I'm looking forwards to seeing him, Ratchet and Windblade presumably taking the lead for the movie.

Overall, this was a fairly enjoyable episode.

OMG I wonder how it would be nice if Megatron appeared in the series and that a beating Steeljaw just for him to know that the Decepticons are no more.
And it would be nice to see Optimus and Megatron facing the new council , but is contradictory means they speak for the entire planet Cybertron that hardly existed a war on Earth.
I sincerely hoped that Team Prime was the new council at least by so much that they fought and made.

And people said the Season 1 finale was rushed. At least Megatronus had proper build up.

Steeljaw just suddenly taking over and becoming super powered only to get defeated by Fixits was..... eh.

Glowstrike never even got to do anything.

Eh, at least this corrupt Cybertron council plotline sounds promising. If RID is going to continue from here.....

Well, it appears my original theory was correct, the new cybertronian regime is trying to burry the war, and all those that participated in it.

Overall the epsiode felt...rushed. Like it needed one more part to flesh it out. Also, did anyone catch who that 'con was ratchet was carrying? One of the last two-three (don't know about Starscream) remaining decepticons maybe? Also was expecting some kind of teaser for the series finale, like a shot of busted floor where Steeljaw was or something. Also, with these animalistic designs, and it being the 20th anniversary of beast wars, could we be looking at the dawn of the tri-predacons council? So many questions...hopefully at least a few are answered in the movie (also, fingers crossed for Megs and soundwace cameos, and for the return of basically anyone else from prime)

Edit: also, loved the return of the vehicon, although now I need to get a bunch and paint em up.

Definitely a better finale than season 1. In fact this is kind of what I hoped the season 1 finale would be. I'm especially glad those who left did, as I much prefer the cast size at the end rather than the smaller cast that existed throughout the show.

My problem with the Season 1 finale is that I felt that Megatronus' defeat was anti-climatic. Just a slash and a boom and there went Megatronus, not really impressive for a villain that has been built up.

A new corrupted council at least explains why Bumblebee was a lowly leutenant after TFP.

BTW - seems like Cybertronians have a really bad luck to "democratic" goverments.

    They should declare monarchy. :>

So that's it for this season? I would think the show was being cancelled because of how short this season was if there wasn't already a season 3 announced. We went from 26 episodes to only 13 and usually when that happens it means the series was canceled. Why so short this time?

Besides just being short, this season doesn't seem as good as season 1. There were too many Decepticons in it to the point where most of them weren't even named on screen. Many of the episodes were poorly written. And the finally was anticlimactic to the point where I wasn't even entirely sure this was actually the last episode.

They kind of had this problem in Prime as well. The first season ended with such a huge major villain that the second season endings just seemed really underwhelming in comparison. Though this is kinda worse. At least with Prime even though the villain wasn't as big of a threat as Unicron, his plan to cyberform the Earth was still just as threatening. With this we went from Megatronus Prime/The Fallen to... Steeljaw... and I'm sorry but even with the power of three Decepticon hunters he just isn't as big of a threat. I feel like we're wasting our time with these second rate Decepticons. Maybe it would of been better if their fight had lasted longer but they just took down the powered up Steeljaw way too easily. I already didn't like the guy but him going down that fast when he should of had an advantage didn't help matters any.

The one pay off we did get is that the interactions between Optimus and Bumblebee finally make sense. It still doesn't make any sense why the other Autobots have been treating Optimus like a rookie all season but at least now I understand why Optimus and Bumblebee have been fighting over the leadership position.

As for the whole thing with Ratchet... I don't know why they had to throw that whole banishment thing in there to explain why he's on Earth. Before Predacons Rising he choose to stay on Earth. They brought him to Cybertron to help with what was going on during Predacons Rising but I always assumed after that was sorted out he returned to Earth. Maybe this was just their way of explaining why Bumblebee didn't know about Ratchet being on Earth and not trying to contact him the moment he arrived. Anyway it was nice seeing him again and I hope they do eventually bring back other Prime survivors. We got to see Soundwave and Ratchet this season so maybe we'll get more of that in season 3.
