Do we know how TFP Season 3 was originally envisioned?

After the TFCon Aligned Continuity panel and the information about the problems with the production of Prime, I'm left wondering... do we know how the creators originally Envisioned season 3? I think somewhere I had heard they thought about introducing the Dinobots. Is anything else known? I wonder if Ultra Magnus was a late addition only because it was easy to modify the Optimus 1.0 character model for him? I loved TFP Magnus. "It's an honor; 'sir'."

Bob Orci literally said there'd be combiners, "don't worry". Take that as you will

Too bad we didn't see any of this. I really wish Prime had a long life like it was originally intended to have. I remember hearing that it could have been like 7 seasons. I'm sure the producers/writers had some great ideas that we'll never see

As a huge Prime fan this saddens me. I'm sure it pleases the haters though.

I'm pretty sure Season 3 was going to include the Star Seekers as well, which is why we got that Voyager Thundertron figure.

I loved Quint in Jaws' film adaption, so I'm sad we couldn't see Seaspray. That would have been one of the coolest characters on the show.

I heard we would have seen more on the Thirteen, like actual appearances, visions to Optimus, warning him of the finale. Also, I heard they had Solus planned.

We they originally had in mind sounded so friggin awesome.

I mean it really makes what we got with Beast Hunters look like crap. *sigh* damn in house fighting and the budget.

I loved season three just as it was. Plus I'm just grateful to have gotten three seasons/68 episodes. I wish the 2002 He-Man series would have gotten that much. And while I'm not the biggest fan of the Young Justice cartoon, I know there's a lot of fans of it that would've loved to have gotten a third season of that series.

More scavenger hunts, more characters that fail to develop beyond the most basic and overall weak writing that would be ignored by the small-minded because of good animation.

I enjoyed TFP mostly. And +1 to the He-Man and Young Justice! I also enjoyed the Thundercats reboot, I felt like it had more to it than we got as well.

Some of the ideas they had souded really awesome. BH felt really shoehorned in to me, which makes me wonder what would of happened if it wasn't introduced in the first place

The last minute shuffle really fucked things up and that makes me a sad panda.

Man yeah. I'd add G.I. Joe Renegades to that list too. Another great show that I'd have loved to have seen more of.

I liked enough of BH as it was to not consider the third season a failure, but I can't help but remember how excited I was when I heard rumors Season 3 was going to actually involve the Star Seekers, and that we might be seeing some fallout from other peoples the Cybertronians' War visited.

And how we were actually going to meet seaspray, and bulkhead was going to meet Miko's parents in Japan. So many possibilities that would have been awesome to explore. I was also hopping that they were going to bring in like elita or something so optimus would stop being a cardboard

I like Transformers Prime. It's a good show. Season 3 was actually a pretty good season with the scavenger hunts and Predaking and Shockwave. I kind of wish they would've been able to go through with a season 4 because it could've given us a chance to MAYBE see the Dinobots or Combiners. If anything, I kinda think TFP got the Animated treatment. Despite it having so much potential and being a favorite amongst a good amount of fans, it still got cancelled. Of course at least Animated didn't get a crappy sequel TV series.
