I had considered it, but are the quintessons really more powerful than the primes? No, I think for the first time in a while, we're going to get a truly original enemy, something more ancient and more evil that even Unicron.

Or maybe something that we've forgotten about deep in the history of the Transformers franchise and they're bringing it back from the dead.

Vok - Teletraan I: the Transformers Wiki - Age of Extinction, Transformers: Prime, Fall of Cybertron, Toys, Kre-O, Transformers 4

The Quintessons were created by Quintus Prime according to the Covenant of Primus, so there is not that big a chance that they are more powerful then the primes.
Well unless they evolved into something more powerful.

I really hope so, or the Prime Rid universe will turn into a new Unicron trilogy.

Only one disappointment was that Megatronus did not join Steeljaw's gang, so he has no reason to come back. I do not want two or more groups of Decepticons.

I really like fighting in this show. It is not like in Prime, when bots got everyone down like nothing.

Finally finished the season and it was pretty good. I enjoyed the fighting choreography and the animation looked it's best so far.

So yeah, Megatronus, originally a misunderstood anti-hero, becomes the Primary Villain for the ENTIRE SHOW, drops a bunch of lines that raise only more questions than answers, and then is destroyed without a trace.

Honestly it was incredibly weak as a finale. I really did not like it one bit.

Rest assured, Megatronus will be back, let's not forget that image that was circulating a while back of him in vehicle mode being followed by a bunch of spikey turquoise drones.

This doesn't exactly inspire confidence or good cheer in me, honestly.

Again, the character was never meant to be a villain in the first place, and in defiance of established canon, reduced to a villain role.

Unless he comes back and it's revealed he's being manipulated/used/controlled/etc, I'm honestly finding it hard to care.

I like his design, but really?? Calling himself "The First Decepticon"? I'm wondering if Habsro even keeps up with their own material.

    ...Starscream perhaps...? Or Unicron...?

    I like that
Drift was disappointed in Bumblebee's actions after Optimus returned.

I like that Denny and Russel's cover plan backfired.

I like that Steel Jaw was able to escape.

I like that the Decepticon Hunter's abilities were better displayed than what the Autobots were originally using them for.

But I will admit that the special armor Bumblebee, Sideswipe and Strongarm had on temporarily looks horrible.

Well...was an average ending for an average series. Really wasnt expecting much but i did find this season finale enjoyable. I do hope Season 2 dont fall in the "Oh! new Con to trap! Lets Transform, roar our engines and speed away" formula.

I thought this was a pretty cool finale. The action was really good and all the villains seemed very capable. It's a pity they got rid of most of them. This whole season now feels rather pointless.

It's weird that only 8 out of 13 of the original Primes appeared. Also, I was really expecting Optimus to learn he was one of them, although I'm happy with that fact being ignored.

So, Megatronus (I really wish they'd called him the Fallen) wanted to use Unicron's residual sparkiness in Earth and combine it with the Allspark. So, Unicron being Earth's core was finally brought up again. It only took until the following show. Also, Megatronus summoning the Allspark with such ease seemed odd.

It's disappointing that so little was left open for following seasons, however, with what Prime did with it's open storylines, I guess that's probably a good thing.

So overall, it wasn't the greatest season finale but it was still good.

Someone hasn't watched Dragon Ball Z.

Unless Megatronus is this show's Frieza.

Just got done watching the finale. I...didn't hate it but I didn't love it either.

    <spoilers below>

I think my problem is we have this build up throughout the series that something big is about to happen and Optimus is off training with the Primes getting ready for said event and even see him train with "The Ultimate Decepticon Hunter".

We then see Prime get upgraded to his new form courtesy of the Primes and get an epic like set up for his return to Earth and to join the battle. Then when he gets there, he pretty much gets his tailpipe kicked.

Bee and his team hodge podge Hunters then manage to duplicate the powers of Prime's "Ultimate Hunter" and they get in the finishing blow. The part where Bee and his team get the final shot doesn't bother me. The majority of the run has been about Bee and Co. But the whole side story of Prime's training, the infusion of energy from the Primes, the new body...it all seemed like a waste of time.

I liked it. Didn't care much for the voice of Megatronis though. He sounded like Bulkhead with a vocoder.

If this is a sequel to Prime, why was Unicron's anti-spark still back on earth? I thought it was captured and contained by the end of Predacons Rising.

But at the end of Predacons Rising, Prime specifically says "As a being comprised of pure energy, Unicron's anti-spark was vulnerable to this reliquary of the Primes.".
