When Megatronus was attempting to unite the "core energies" of the two worlds he mentioned that both worlds had played a role in his exile.
Was this something covered in the comics or novels?

Another thing that slightly throws me with this show is exactly how long has it been since the end of Prime?
Nothing much seems to have advanced on Earth yet a shitload of time has obviously passed as far as Cybertron is concerned.

Basically he blames everything on Primus and Unicron. So he'll destroy them both. Cybertron is Primus' body while in Prime and RID Earth is Unicron's body.

Primus created Megatronus but made his nature closer to that of Unicron, which lead in some other continuities him joining Unicron and betraying his fellow Primes. His conflicted nature lead him to killing Solus , much to his regret, and his broken bridges with the Primes.

Very bad finale that has left a negative impact on the show.

Megatronus should have been the primary villain going forward, with Steeljaw as his ambitious Starscream-esque lieutenant. But, no he shows up only to be taking down in one ep and Steeljaw is left without a team, right back to where he started.

And what the hell was with the armour at the end?? That whole power-up was so stupid. Pretty convenient that the last ep is the only one in the whole series that we get a hint that the power of Decepticon Hunters can be combined. As well, how can an run-of-the-mill Hunters copy a weapon made by the original Primes - basically demigods? And why did it give them that stupid armour?

The subplot with Denny and Russell evacuating in part 2 tried to be comic relief but it was just annoying and stupid. Windblade came back and served no purpose.

I did like the part at the beginning with Strongarm and Sideswipe as it highlighted her development but continued to show that they have conflict/tension. The bits with The Fallen contacting Steeljaw in Part 1 were good as well.

But, overall I'm just so disappointed. Honestly one of the worst season finales I've ever seen in my whole life. Really doesn't fill me with confidence for Season 2.

I know right? This disappointed me more than anything that happened in Prime...well up until I found out about the internal conflicts that went on during the production but that's not the point.

Shame because I still enjoyed a good chunk of RID.

This final felt so rushed for me. It feels like optimus training with the primes served no purpose. I agree the power up thing was stupid. Watching this show makes me miss prime and even that show did a lot that was also annoying

Megatronus has been confirmed to not be done for. They just had him defeated to have an ending closure in case they never got a season 2, but his voice actor confirmed Megatronus can never truly die and will play his part in season 2.

No idea why you think Windblade didn't do anything even though without her they wouldn't even have been able to keep Megatronus in place long enough to defeat him. The entire point was the entire team working together for the first time under Bee's direction, that is the message of the show from day one.

The armors were stupid, sure, but there is nothing that contradicts the hunters being able to copy the prime hunter, it's just a sword that shoots lasers, there is nothing special about that.

Yeah, never understood the "Prime Decepticon Hunter", the gattling gun or starsaber would have been more effective IMO.

the battlegrounds 2 parter is a god send for fans of the 13, we get to see 8 of them on screen,2 of which fighting each other and a 9th mentioned. plus we will most likely see some more later in the series. i consider that the high point of the series

So rewatching this episode, and I noticed something about the ridiculous armor Bumblebee, Strongarm and Sideswipe have when they combined their swords...

...do they resemble (just a little bit) some if not all of the thirteen Primes armor...? Or am I reading too much into the look? :-/

I wish megatron showed up somehow and fought megatronus with optimus to make up for all the stuff he did, but with megatronus be more powerful against them.
