I actually don't really like her. I was meh about her in the comics, but I've come to loathe her in the cartoon. She's worse than Sideswipe in ego, and I was thrilled when Strongarm knocked her down a notch.

Windblade was awesome, and I loved her personality. Nuff said.

Windblade was awesome. It made me realize how fortunate we are to at least have one fembot done right in the cartoon. Not only was Windblade's VA better, but her design and character was far superior to Strongarm.
    To quote Sideswipe, "She's awesome!"

Definitely don't agree (yay, differing opinions ha!), her design is generic fembot and her personality nearly screamed femme fatale which is also boring and generic. Strongarm is way more interesting in both design and (barely) personality. WB's ego is a huge problem I had with her. Worst than Sideswipe, but at least he's funny about her. WB came across as very unimaginative.

Windblade is a textbook Parody Sue. A seemingly perfect character that comes in and bedazzles every member of the cast, usually unwittingly, without even knowing it, but a grounded and rational member of the cast is skeptical and some glaring flaw proves them right.

Take for example the space super hero from Teen Titans who was racist towards Starfire.

Her flaw is "ends justify the means"

Windblade was essentially Thunderclash, which was fun. It also made this Strongarm's best episode yet.

That's actually a perfect comparison! And on top of that, I like that the description of her as "stoic" from the article about her turned out to be wrong-- she actually does have a sense of humour, and she's NOT just all about being an honourable warrior/girl-Drift.

Zizza was also one of my favourite new Decepticons of the whole season. Of course, it's already great to have a female who actually speaks SENTENCES, unlike Filch, but she was cool in other ways too. Wasn't expecting Jackee Harry as the voice, but she nailed it.

Why are there multiple discussion threads for each Ep?

Never mind that, where the hell is the download for this episode, and everything afterwards?

And if someone says to look in the download thread, I tried that already.

Either people just really want to be the OP, or episode threads kind of just overlapped because of how they all came out at once.

Somehow, I really like Windblade. She seems to have earned her place as one of my favourite fembots next to Arcee and Strongarm. The fact that she was humbled a notch seems to prove she has room for character development. Miss Scott wrote her introduction episode well.

Ugh! I hate these kind of episodes:

Newbie shows up, and all but one of the main cast likes him/her for different reasons (or in some cases the same reason). The one character begins to feel left out but eventually comes to like the newbie at the end of the episode. Then the newbie either leaves to become a reoccurring character or joins the team and constantly reminds us of the plot.

(near the beginning of the episode now. I hope the rest is not how I perceived it to be.)

Glad to see someone in the show noticed the animal trend of the Decepticon prisoners. :)

Fun dialogue. The nicknames were fine, but using them more than once got annoying. For once, the Autobots have an aerial-capable person (in recent years). I like the personality Windblade has going.

The humbling was good, Jackee Harry was VERY good, and FINALLY someone noticed the animal-like bot modes.

The episode does have that kind of trope, but I don't think there was any part that Strongarm was ever left out by the team. She was just not buying into the hype about Windblade. The show balances it by having both Windblade and Strongarm have faults and Windblade was never a jerk. Just a bit overconfident with her abilities and her values having a minor conflict with the Bee Team.

Standard trope, as previously mentioned, but enjoyable none the less. Hoping Windblade shows up again.
