Groundpounder vs Megatron anyone? Megatron will kick his ass lol

 

No question, haha. I'm assuming Groundpounder made his bones in the gladiator arena sometime after Megatron moved onto politics. XD

 

Now that's a fight that needs to happen.

I think Megatron would wreck Groundpounder big time.

 

Hurrah for more "Contructions." Now going to wait and see if Hasbro will make them. Overall I thought the episode was pretty cool and it was amusing to see the "Godzilla Drop Kick of Death"

 

Has anyone put the Godzilla and Grimlock gif together? I'd love to see both on loop with each other!

 

"he's a wrecking machine!", this might be one of my favorite episodes so far, and that godzilla move   he'll fly like godzilla next (if he could breath fire like that other grimlock)

 

That would be the best thing ever.

 

Never thought I'd see Mickey from Rocky in Transformers...
This series definitely has a lot of firsts.

Also this episode was so fucking badass!!!

 

Time for this episode.

A decepticon finally transformed! What at treat. It looks like he's going to fight some Earth robots. I wonder if he'll enter the competition lawfully and if the fights will be interesting. If he just crashes the party and has one sided fights with the Earth robots, I'll be disappointed.

Next up is another eye rolling scene with Grimlock. He really challenges my suspension of disbelief. Always takes me out of the episode.

"Mess with the mech and you get the horns" My gosh, that's terrible. Who is she even saying it to? Lmao. No one can hear her. Of course she wins the fight too.

Aaaaand, Ground Pounder crashes the party as expected. Lame, but these are 22 minutes episodes, and it's a lot faster to just have him do that.

Denny is great as usual.

Bumblebee's rally cries are the only forced joke that works for me.

Ha, the chick (her name is Casey?) is getting a few licks in on this. That's what I wanted to see! Ground Pounder's trainer is messing with the wires under her robot. I like that. It proves that he was cheating and also allows the girl to lose without it being such a downer. It's clever writing to knock out two birds with one stone like that.

This was a good episode. Funny bits here and there. Grimlock was nearly tolerable. I enjoyed seeing him get beat up. I loved Fixit beating up the trainer. TFRID2015 has convinced me to accept Fixit with that and his tentacles in the last episode. He's a winner. Also, I wonder if they're just gonna abandon Casey. She turned out to be interesting, unlike Denny's kid.

 

Godzilla gifs always make me chuckle.

 

The forced jokes are really horrible. Sonic the Hedgehog's humor is so much better/wittier. It's sad that TF: Prime has devolved into this. Is there an explanation as to why all the Decepticons are beast-themed yet? Maybe this show will pull an animated where seasons 2 and 3 are much better and S1 can be disregarded but I'm having a hard time watching this.

I did appreciate the homages in this episode but it's not enough to carry the day.

 

Really enjoyed this episode, especially the 'robo-battle' between Grim and Groundpounder.
Fixit was very handy in helping Grimmy win!!
Loved all the Rocky/Godzilla nods.  

They really need to get that 'ground bridge' working correctly. Figured the arctic destination was to give us a TFP moment... good thing they got outta there quickly.

 

I wish we got to see more of Fixit being a Groundpounder fan. It's a really interesting angle, an Autobot security drone idolizing a Decepticon gladiator. Have to wonder if Fixit spent hours on the prison ship just staring at and admiring his frozen hero.

I also wish this show would have the Cons use their alt modes more. They get the token introduction in vehicle form, transform and never go back.

 

Decent enough episode. 6.5/10.

The highlight was definitely the ending when Fix-It kicked Headlock's ass. It was so refreshing to get to see Drift fighting and for just him and Grimlock saving the day before the others arrived.. Grimlock's fight with Ground Pounder was pretty good too. It would have been more interesting though if Ground Pounder didn't know Headlock was getting involved in his fights as it initially seemed.
