It's got a darker vibe huh? I'm really looking forward to this one.

Maybe it'll be The thrill of the hunt for RID?

So then - Fracture + Minicons and Drift + Minicons - This is certainly an episode I've been looking forward to for quite some time now (Since the Chinese Dubbed version came out lol)

I loved this episode, and I really like the series but I have to say that I'm EXTREMELY annoyed with how incompetent Team Bumblebee is. Their skill is basically completely dependent on the writer of the episode and the needs of the plot.

Most fights with the team consist of: Charge recklessly (or shoot a couple of times). Swing and get blocked. Get hit once, hit wall and get knocked out. It just doesn't look like a team trained by a seasoned war veteran. And Bumblebee -- for all that I love him as a character -- certainly doesn't fight like a beast, the way that he used to in Prime, WFC and the novels.

To be honest, the way Drift and Fracture are fighting are the way I wish Team Bumblebee would be portrayed fighting every episode, and it should really be improving the longer they're on Earth training and capturing cons. Man, I would love to see the team fight more like that, and like a cohesive whole.

RID 2015, I love you, but if you could stop making the main characters' fighting skills a victim of plot, that'd be amazing.

Man, I really liked that episode. A lot of fighting against a really cool Decepticon. And six new characters, even if the minicons didn't have much in the way of personalities, not that I was expecting them to. In fact there was actually more to them than I expected, but that's not saying much.

Fracture was kinda just a ripoff of Lockdown, but he was still cool. Not quite as cool as Lockdown, but close enough. I loved how he sepparated Grimlock, and Strongarm and captured them. Also, he dishonourably plants a bomb on Drift's back. Take that Dreadwing.

Drift was pretty cool, even if cliche (and McCarthy said movie Drift was racist, not that I'm saying this one was). I really liked his Minicons. I can't wait to see these guys return.

Overall, a really good, action packed adventure. It may not have had much in the way of plot, but I welcome one off action only eps. Plus this episode wasn't bogged down by awful gags. Heck, I came close to laughing at Fixit saying baboon at the end, since I wasn't expecting it, due to almost the whole episode going without making a dumb joke.

Love this episode. It kind of introduced two rival bounty hunter teams, rather than just six new characters. And the minicon launching ability where they become part of their masters armor and deploy from it.

As kind of predictable a cartoon trope as the samurai life debt story can be.
It really did not hinder it. The fights were good and the scene with fracture and his boys plotting on the spaceship with little micro cameras, had some of the right emotion and pacing for a true antagonist. As much as I like the mindgames of steeljaw. The underhanded traps of fracture are more devastating.

Also slipstream and jetstorm got across some decent personality in their screen time. I like that they sort of had a storyarch in wanting to get recognition from their strict master. Though they went out of their way to protect fixit and russell. I guess they just were doing the right thing and that's what was admirable, and confronting the minicons would have been the only threat to bee anyway while he's incapicitated. I am drawing a few conclusions I just had to think through. A possible weakness of paceing or screen time for the arc.

Also notice during drift and fractures last bout. They do the classic high speed slash and pause to reveal the actual damage thing. Which I've kind of gotten used to in both super robot, and more fantasy ninja like things like the opening to ninja gaiden (NES)
the bomb was a nice underhanded twist on it. And then they do it again only faster. Because fracture is getting a bit frustrated/ impatient.

The groundbridge effect feeling a lot more like prime now. Glad the autobots are going to keep it going forward.

I am kind of expecting fracture to pull that thing off his back and fire it as a big laser cannon dreadwing style. But I see that Its actually the engine of the bike alt mode. no reason it could not be part of his arsenal. But I want to point it out.

My favorite episode out of the first 13

Fracture's english va is perfect. I think I love him more. I love how he made fast decision of giving up his ship.

Drift's english va did a better job at sounding proud of Slipstream and Jetstorm while trying to held a serious face in the end of this episode. It makes him more likable. As an asian person, strict, never praise their children asain perants are very true and not a very good memory of mine.

Even funnier that Drift didn't refer Strongarm as oaf-ish (that's for Grimlock). He only said she is inexperienced.

So Sideswipe does thinks Strongarm is ofa-ish, subconsciously :lol

the council seem more and more like real jerks. instead of taking professional action like sending an autobot to arrest him, they put a bounty on bees head. jeez, these are the guys running cybertron.

Oh well something tells me Optimus Prime's return may or may not have something to do with the council

I have a theory that some members are Functionists but the council should have issued a proper arrest warrant instead of sending bounty hunters. I feel that episode 12 is my favorite so far, Drift and Fracture's voice actors did an amazing job also the minicons were interesting. Now that Fracture is stranded on Earth and Drift leaves in a ship similar to Wheeljack's from Prime I think someone else will come and try to claim the bounty.

    strongarm is an inexperienced cop

its possible that sideswipe is intimidated by strongarm but won't acknowledge it in public and drift sensed that

Immature Juvenile delinquent is Sideswipe. Oafish is Grimlock and the inexperience cop is Strong Arm. I surmise from Sideswipe point of view that the inexperience cop is Bumblebee and the Oafish is StrongArm. Drift called it right even though he is a jerk. I find both Slipstream and Jetstorm endearing and likeable. I found Drift personality a bit of jerk. Fracture I like to see more of him and it is nice to see non-animal type Decepticon.

And yet in 22 minutes he's already a better character than the movie Drift. :D

Honestly I thought this episode was pretty great. It had enough comedic moments to balance out the "holy crap everyone is dropping like flies out there" moments, which leads me to my favorite part of the episode. Fracture.

The way he just rinses Team Bee without really breaking a sweat, and it sorta shows the looming threat for the main characters. So far all of their enemies have been relatively unarmed and using their natural abilities or makeshift traps to fight or get away, but now a fully armed Decepticon walks into the fray and the team gets taken down with very little effort on Fracture's part, if not for Drift they'd all be hauled away and Steeljaw would have the run of the planet. So maybe I'm reading into it too much but Fracture's appearance sort of set the stakes in the series for me, it's still catch them all, but now it's catch them all before they get organized and well armed enough to wipe us out.

And on a side note I'm wondering where this "Autobot High Council" thing may lead. I mean they put out a bounty on the head of an Autobot who killed Megatron and helped to revive their entire planet...all because he used a space bridge and took two people with him? Seems odd to me, or rather it seems odd they'd make it a public bounty instead of just sending Drift.

kinda reminds me of how the autobots fared against the cons in transformers animated
